The indoor swimming pool and gym are not available, the WIFI signal is very poor, parking is inconvenient, and it is close to coastal scenic spots.

After reading some of the negative reviews on here, my partner and I were slightly concerned however after staying for four nights recently we realised that there was nothing to worry about! The hotel is beautifully refurbished and modern with no sign of construction around. Our room was comfortable and had a balcony with a side view of the ocean in the distance. On our first night we used the indoor pool which was lovely and clean with sunbeds in the area as well. There were also two hot tubs (although they weren't that hot), a cold plunge pool and a sauna. In terms of food, we were highly impressed with the range of food offered. We only had dinner one night (which you can pay for if you don't have half-board or all inclusive) but there was a wide variety of cuisines including paella, pizza, pasta, fish and a LOT of desserts. However, I would also recommend checking out some of the local restaurants in the town nearby. Breakfast was equally as nice with the option to have fresh bread and pastries, cold meats, fruit, a full English and more. I The pool outside was lovely and there were plenty of sunbeds around as the hotel seemed quite quiet, so no need to worry about rushing down in the early hours of the morning. You also have the beach which is only a five minute walk away and is a definite must see as the waters are crystal clear and great for snorkelling. Sunbeds are also very cheap for around 5 euros a day. For night time entertainment, we spent time at the pool bar where there was live music each night. Drink prices were pretty average and there were not a huge variety of different flavoured drinks. Overall, we had a great stay and would highly recommend!

We've just returned from a lovely break. The hotel was beautiful and in a perfect location if your after peaceful rest to recharge. The staff couldn't do enough for you everyone was polite and friendly. We went half board and the breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice and the evening meal was ok. Only thing with buffet food is its not hot enough but the area was spotless. The pools had plenty of beds and was clean, theres also an indoor spa and a gym. We spent most of each day down at the beach which was just a stones throw away. Our room was gorgeous and a lovely size on the 6th floor with a side sea view. We loved the gardens and area around the hotel it was all well maintained and lush green! There was live music each night too but depends on your taste to whether you enjoy it or not The area of Cala Marcal is really quiet only a couple of shops and bars/restaurants which we already knew before we went but walking into porto colom has more choice if thats what you are after.
