Great few hours spent having a relaxed afternoon tea. The venue was nice. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Nothing felt too much trouble for the staff. Didn't feel rushed to eat and leave. Food was lovely

Great wedding venue, the staff worked very hard to look after us, the food was good, and the grounds are lovely. Breakfast was good (buffet). Our room was a good size, clean, the bed was comfortable, although the bathroom is probably due a refit (cracked tiles and worn fittings). A very nice venue for a wedding, and a pleasant place to stay.

I really enjoyed bed and breakfast in this lovely hotel. My room was huge yet elegant and comfortable with fabulous views over the immaculate, extensive gardens from the mullioned windows. The ensuite bathroom was lovely and modern with delightful toiletries. The full English breakfast was delicious and set me up for the day. The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly the lady on reception, who sorted out any needs I had with a friendly and empathic attitude. I look forward to staying here again.

It was a beautiful building,we were given a beautiful panelled room with a four poster bed.a welcome plate on the room with some chocolate.it was clean and comfortable.we had an offer of dinner bed and breakfast.their is a choice of evening meal and the breakfast was lovely and plenty of it.

Booked this for my partners birthday and for the price, it was ok but overall, I can’t say it made me want to return. Check in was brilliant, warm and welcoming and informative but everything else seemed to be lacking. We had a drink at the bar but told there were no draught beers or ciders available so I paid for a Guinness from a can in the fridge. I’m ok with this, but I don’t agree with the 10% service charge on all bills that is in the small print, as I should be given the option on what to pay when I have experienced the service. The room we stayed in need a little attention. The bathroom taps were stiff to operate and the room looked tired. Menu didn’t appeal to us but there are other places to eat in the area at a short drive away. Grounds were lovely. For the price that was paid, it was ok for us.

We arrived at the hotel to find there had been a mix up with our booking, this issue was handled very professionally by Cheryl who could not of been more helpful, she even upgraded our room, which we loved! The Hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, we were blown away by the decor, and the fabulous grounds it stands in. The dining experience was first class in an absolutely delightful dining room with some gorgeous views, we even had a free glass of Prosecco on the house provided once again by Cheryl. The breakfast was delicious too. What really stood out for us was how welcoming & friendly all the Staff were 😃 and we would highly recommend this Hotel, we will definitely return at a later date. Before checking in we took a walk to Hadlow Road Railway Station ( 5 mile round trip) a heritage station & museum with a fabulous cafe, it’s a lovely walk along the Wirral Way with beautiful views .

Stayed at this hotel on Friday 23rd May. We were put in room 14. I have to say it was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever tried to sleep in! On a plus side the breakfast was great as was the food in the lounge. But the bed in bed and breakfast was awful. Would put me off staying again.
