Province of Varese Hotels with Airport pickup service

Disgusting with every sense of the word. Disrespectful. Unprofessional. The whole stay was a disaster. My worst stay in any hotel I have ever stayed in. Let’s start with housekeeping. The first room had a spider in the bathroom. When I changed the room, the second room had insects on the walls. I literally checked out and went to the airport 4 hours prior to my flight just to get away from the hotel. I?m willing to bet that most rooms are this dirty since both rooms I?ve been in were disgusting. Let’s talk about disrespectful and unprofessional. Now I understand that the staff might not be fluent in English, but they MUST have the decency, willingness and patience to help customers understand what they are saying. I called room service twice, and when they had a hard time explaining things to me, they guy said something in Italian and then hung up. RUDE. VERY RUDE. I literally had to call a third time and tell him not to hang up and slowly try to explain to me where my food is and how long is it going to take. It can?t be that a customer is willing and has more patience than the staff. Finally, the room service menu was very light. Needs more option. Literally they only had one pizza, fries, soup I think and maybe one other option. I have never been to a hotel where they didn?t have at least a burger option and a club sandwich option. But compared to my first two points, this one seems less important right now. I will DEFINITELY NEVER be coming back to stay at this hotel.

Spinta da consigli di amiche mi sono ritrovata ad organizzare il battesimo per la mia bimba in Equirelais…luogo curato, apparentemente perfetto…. Maaaa…ecco arriva il momento di sedersi eeee secondo voi due tovagliette ed una sedia? Forse c è qualcosa che non va…forse i posti sono troppo stretti? Forse è meglio che chiamo un cameriere che dopo circa 35/40 minuti si convince ad aggiungere due tavolini…con persone fuori ad aspettare di sedersi eeeee primissima figura fatta! Yeah!!!!!! Arriva il cibo dai….dentro di me fiduciosa…. porzionato alla persona, non sia mai che uno voglia due gnocchi fritti ( pasta del pane fritta…non tartare di pesce…), barchette di vitello tonnato così trasparenti con su una punta di cucchiaino di salsa tonnata neanche da capirne il gusto…torta salata e pizza contate sull’unghia…come tutto il resto …eeeee seconda figura fatta yeah!!! Improvvisamente i parenti mi dicono che non erano arrivati gli spiedini di baccalà e luganega…vado prontamente a chiederne il perché al cameriere eeeee….mi risponde “ho sbagliato io nel servirli”…alla mia richiesta di farne uscire altri per sopperire alla mancanza la risposta è stata…SONO FINITI, IN CUCINA NON CE NE SONO PIÙ….ci rendiamo conto? Alle 21:00 arrivano dei fantastici paccheri con guanciale di Sauris (INESISTENTE)…5 paccheri, nessun ripasso dopo un’attesa infinita e gravi mancanze precedenti. Per finire in bellezza…torta portata da me esternamente ( per fortuna mi vien da dire) mi chiamano perché non sanno come tagliarla ( PAGATO SERVIZIO TORTA 3€ A PERSONA) quindi con mia mamma spieghiamo come sezionarla. Sweet table di dolcetti…un cameriere tocca il piatto eeee voilà fa cadere… Che ne dite? Ho fatto una bella figura no? Morale mi hanno offerto una cena degustazione per l’accaduto…ovviamente rifiutata…scontato una minima parte ( il cibo non è uscito quindi…)la figura di ……quella Gratis…. Ah però le bottiglie di vino extra le hanno segnate giuste e pagate giustamente dalla sottoscritta…tutto il resto “eh ci scusiamo”… LASCIATE PERDERE ED EVITATEVI FIGURACCE COME QUELLA CHE HO FATTO IO. Mi hanno letteralmente rovinato la serata di festa della mia bimba….sempre….GRATIS😉

A civilized haven after an awful experience. A stylish, welcoming and luxurious hotel despite check in receptionist being rather abrupt and aloof. Room very comfortable but air con too hot for us UK people..it is as hot at night as we get in summer during the day ! I was eventually assisted to get to the Arctic temperature of 16.5 ! Meal in restaurant was very good, service especially ! Lady serving in the bar was amazing...a real asset to the company ! A professional, someone who can speak to everyone, have fun and keep everyone happy..a real gem ! I will definitely stay here again, it was a real pleasure.

E' la seconda volta che soggiorniamo in questo B&B; facile da prenotare direttamente al telefono con la sra Rosa, molto gentile e disponibile; facile da trovare e a pochi minuti dal terminal 2 di Malpensa (nel nostro caso abbiamo viaggiato con EasyJet) e anche dal terminal 1; le camere sono spaziose come anche i bagni, tutto molto pulito, non manca nulla; la colazione è con prodotti confezionati ma più che sufficiente quando si fa alle 4 del mattino; la macchinetta del caffè è con le cialde e per il te c'è il bollitore; è come stare in casa propria, la sra Rosa ci ha fatto trovare in camera le brioches, la marmellata, la nutella, le fette biscottate, i biscotti, i succhi di frutta; il parcheggio si trova facilmente di fronte, essendo una zona residenziale; direi tutto ottimo e lo teniamo come punto di riferimento in altre occasioni !!! lo consiglio.

My family and I had a great time at the hotel , it's very central and close to the station. The service was great, the staff very friendly and helpful , especially the staff in the dining hall when we went for breakfast. The breakfast was fantastic and very tasty and substantial and a good variety to pick and choose from. The coffees were great too. Would have loved to have stayed longer to make use of their facilities but we were there for only one day and night. Will definitely come back.

Il Porticciolo must have one of the most beautiful locations of all the lakes of Italy. One whole wall of our very comfortable room overlooked Lake Maggiore and the surrounding snow-capped mountains. We spent a lot of time on our balcony just absorbing the lake and mountains in all of their different moods while the water lapped against the wall directly below us. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the train station, the beautiful town of Laveno-Mombello and the cable car up 1,000m to views that will take your breath away. As well as its superb location, Il Porticciolo has two great restaurants. We have already been in Italy for two months and we would rank the food we were served amongst the very best we have experienced. We found Giovanni and Elisabetta to be great hosts. They were very friendly and looked after us as if we were family. When we arrived the town of Laveno-Mombello was experiencing problems with its gas supplies and Giovanni immediately offered us a free breakfast to compensate for any discomfort. We also enjoyed long conversations with Elisabetta and she drove us to the train station free of charge when we had to catch an early train after our 7 day stay. We would highly recommend Il Porticciolo to you and the great welcome you will receive from Elisabetta and Giovanni.

Stayed overnight for our early flight home to the US. Front desk person was very efficient and kind. The room was particularly large for an European hotel—great mattress. Very clean. Helpful staff. Great place if you need a no frills, clean and comfortable place to stay while overnighting. Hotel has a free shuttle but a reservation is a must. Didn’t know that but they went out of their way to accommodate. Definitely mail use again if needed for this purpose.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Provided excellent customer service and were attentive to all of our needs. Only 10 minutes from the airport. However it is far from the centre and transport to the centre is extremely expensive so do bear that in mind. Going to the centre and coming back can cost up to €100 euros daily. But the staff and the hotel were excellent.

It's a good airport hotel. However, there are several elevator buttons that are not working. It seems that the maintenance of the facility is not perfect. There are the same buttons on both sides, so I could using it.
