Popular Province of Salerno 4-star Hotels

My partner and I stayed here for two nights to hike the Path of the Gods and visit Positano/Praiano. We were delighted to be upgraded to a deluxe room with a small terrace. However, the overall hotel experience left several things to be desired. Pros: - beautiful view from the hotel overlooking Positano and Capri of the distance (especially at sunset) - bathroom has a modern finish, room is spacious - private beach club with sea access and rocky beach - Complimentary shuttle service to Praiano in evenings - Reception was very helpful giving us directions to the hike and bus information - Breakfast included made to order coffee (with dairy alternatives) and eggs/omelettes Cons: - we constantly had cigarette smoke wafting in through the bathroom vents at all times of day; it made the bathroom and room stink the whole time we were there - breakfast was lacking in fresh fruit selection (fruit basket was essentially all rotten), although they had many many pastries - had to pay for bottled water - transportation to and from the hotel is very expensive (from Positano, a Water taxi is 40 euros, normal taxi is 60 euros). Note that the normal taxi doesn’t take you into Positano centre due to one-ways and traffic. We were able to take the Amalfi Coast Mobility bus one day but fitting your luggage on this is nearly impossible as it is usually packed. - Also, if you take the water taxi you need to be prepared to fit your suitcases in a tiny boat, and move your luggage up stairs and long paths yourself to get to reception for check in Overall, the views from the hotel are spectacular and the private beach is a nice perk. However, we feel the hotel is ultimately not worth the price and the general inconvenience, if your intention is to visit Positano or the neighbouring towns. You may have a different experience if you drive or if you intend to spend most of the day in the hotel. If we were coming back to this area, we would look into other hotels in the area first.

Very good hotel, the key is that the service is particularly good. If you have any questions before you go to the hotel, you will reply within almost 10 minutes. After arriving at the hotel, all the staff were very polite and felt like they were at home. The hotel's facilities and furnishings both reflect the Italian style and reveal extremely high-end. The hotel's private sea water is on the edge of the rock, there is no beach, but the service is particularly good. I think the quality of the sea water is average.

The hotel on the side of the mountain, the room is large, the bathroom is also large, the mountain view, the road is a bit noisy. Breakfast is relatively simple, but considering this price and the journey itinerary is still worth it.

Torre Elisea, una casa magica, fresca, accogliente, che ti fa sentire bene, in un luogo che abbraccia dall'alto la costiera amalfitana, con una vista sia dal giardino sia dalla camera, che già ti riempe il cuore. Direttamente sul sentiero dei limoni, per godere anche di questa fortuna. Un luogo dove ci si sente a casa ma con qualche coccola in più😉. Ma non può essere diversamente visto che un posto lo fanno anche le persone. Davide, che gestisce questa piccola casa, è una persona speciale, attenta a tutto e a tutti i bisogni che gli ospiti possono avere. Di una gentilezza estrema, capace di soddisfare qualsiasi esigenza, qualsiasi dubbio di trasformarlo immediatamente in una soluzione, e sempre disponibile a consigliare già dall'organizzazione a casa della vacanza. Un posto che entra nel cuore dove ci si sente proprio bene, dove non manca nulla per potersi godere la vacanza in un posto favoloso. Una casa che una volta che l'hai lasciata ti manca!
