The Lemon Tree

Incredible location for views of either the valley towards Taormina or an erupting Mount Etna. Karen and Diego were incredible hosts, helping in whatever way possible. Made our time in Taormina so much better and we will be returning in the future

My husband and I stayed here for four nights in early October. It had been recommended by friends who had stayed some years ago but never forgotten the wonderful hospitality. We immediately fell in love with the location and we enjoyed Karen’s home cooked meal on our first evening whilst we settled in. The meal was superb and really good value. Karen and Diego were super helpful during our stay and recommended walks and places to explore and eat. We did a fabulous (albeit hot) walk from the Villa up to Taormina and then Karen came and picked us up after we had sampled much needed refreshments in town! The directions to the Villa were spot on and I found the video that they shared prior to our arrival really helpful. We made full use of the swimming pool which was a treat after coming back from a day exploring. The local wine and beer that they supply at the Villa was great and the apartment was well equipped for self catering or simply making use of local takeaways. All in all it was a fab place to stay, everyone was really kind and helpful and it exceeded our expectations. Thanks to everyone.

We stayed here for 6 nights and must say it was one of the most relaxing self catering places we have stayed at. The hosts Diego and Karen were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, and offered great advice. We had booked dinner on the first evening and it was served by them in our apartment - lovely food and a great way to start our holiday. Great shared pool area for all the guest to sit around and never any issue getting beds. A lovely communal area at the front for guest to sit and mingle if they wish. A barbecue area round the back with a nice touch of a water filter tap where guests can fill the glass bottles provided in the apartment, rather than keep buying bottled water. A home away from home is how the whole of the lemon tree apartments feel.

I have absolutely fallen in love with The Lemon Tree. Diego, Karen & Paula (and of course Bella & Molly the dogs) made the holiday the most memorable stay. The pool was clean and warm, the terraces were tranquil and beautifully kept. The apartment was wonderful and would suit everyone. We had home made food from The Lemon Tree tram and is was some of the best food I have ever eaten. Nothing is too much trouble for them and I can’t wait to go back. A short drive into town and the beautiful beaches. There for a week and only scratched the surface of Taormina. My new love
