We were very lost in Cinque Terre: hot, tired, discouraged and desperate! We saw the owner of Maduneta 5 Terre Guesthouse - Max - on the street and stopped him to ask for directions to our own hotel. He told us frankly that it woud be hard to get to from where we were then stopped a bus to see if it would take us. The bus was not an option, a taxi was 2.5 hours away. Max said perhaps he had a friend with a car and he called but no luck We moved on to another part of town when suddently we saw Max running through a side stree phone it hand. He had arranged a ride for us, arranged for his friend to stop and let us buy provisions then waved a cheery goodbye. We never got to stay at his place but if we were choosing based on who was running the hotel, we would certainly choose Maduneta 5 Terre.

Abbiamo soggiornato dal 16 al 19 giugno nella stanza Rappolungo, piccola unità elegante, graziosa, pulita, curata nei minimi particolari e completa di tutto con vista mare eccezzionale. Posizione strategica (di fronte alla fermata del minibus o, in alternativa, alla scalinata che portano alla stazione). Dotata di solarium attrezzato con lettini e doccia. Il proprietario Massimiliano, che ci ha accolto e "coccolato" per tutta la durata della vacanza, è una persona gentile, educata e disponibile. Consigliatissimo. Maurizio e Stefania

Siamo stati accolti con attenzione e gentilezza da Massimiliano e, parcheggiata l’auto nel posto riservato, abbiamo trovato camere accoglienti, rispettose dell’ambiente, con una splendida vista sulla baia. Letto comodo, bella biancheria, bollitore per the e tisane. Il bagno è ampio e confortevole. Si può usufruire di un giardino con solarium, sdrai, doccia e vista mare. Massimiliano è disponibile a fornire informazioni su percorsi, ristoranti (scelte azzeccate), con efficienza e discrezione.

Our host was extraordinarily kind and helpful, taking the time to help us make the most of our stay at the least possible expense of money and time. The room was perfect, overlooking the see with a clear view of the town of Manarola. I highly recommend staying in Corning if you plan to visit the Cinque Terra for more than a day, and if you do you could not ask for better place to stay.

Lovely place with an amazing view of the sea. Corniglia is a quieter town and for us offered an amazing opportunity to slow down just a bit from the city travels and a romantic place to rest after the long hikes of Cinque Terre.
