Smart Hotel Saslong
4.3/545 Reviews
The hotel is not in the main town of Santa Christina. It is thankfully just off the main Val Gardena road, which is so busy you almost want to call it a highway. Matt was very nice and informative and helpful. The restaurant staff were lovely. Breakfast is very good and the restaurant food is very good. The rooms are TINY! And only one pillow per person and they are so tiny . Also the bath towels feel threadbare! We were in a so-called triple room, but it's actually a TINY double room with a third bed shoved in. Considering the fact that you ski there, there is one TINY cupboard for 3 occupants with winter clothing! The bathroom has a tiny glass ledge for three people to share! Also, there is no tea and coffee making facilities in the room as there is no space. Our room had no view. We looked into a wall. Wifi was not great. You have to pay E5 to wash your laundry and another E5 to use the tumble drier. To get to the laundry room, you have to walk outside in the snow! Then walk through the smelly ski boot room!
Hotel Lener
4.4/545 Reviews
Hotel Lener is great for staying near the Austrian border and enjoying the beauty and peace of South Tyrol. The structure is well maintained, the outdoor spaces are liveable, and there is also a playground for the little ones and an indoor games room. The swimming pool is a bit small but nice, the sauna must be booked. You can access the wellness area from early morning to evening after dinner. The really special thing, for train enthusiasts or luxury travel enthusiasts, is the possibility of sleeping in a suite set up on an original Orient Express carriage. The details are very accurate and outside you can enjoy a small terrace and a corner of the private garden. To give to someone special!
Adler Lodge Ritten
4.8/556 Reviews
From the moment you enter the Adler Lodge resort, you feel like in a different world. Everything is so clean, the staff very attentive, the service great, the suites / chalets and the furniture / standard is best in class so you can’t feel anything but in paradise. We booked 3 nights in a suite and 3 nights in a chalet. The suites are already high class wit their own saunas, rain showers etc but the chalets are worth the upgrade with even more privacy and room to relax, exactly what we were looking for. The 5 course dinners were a highlight each night, you don’t feel stuffed and can choose / mix between 3 different menus. Ingredients are from the local famers, very tasty and fresh. So is the wine which by default you get a perfect match with each course. We also enjoyed the afternoon buffet and the drinks of course. If you want to leave the bubble - which we did, there are a lot of hiking possibilities or you can visit Bozano - everything included with the guest card. The lodge also offers e-mountain bikes which was fun to test. All in all, world class and a very high benchmark which will be difficult to match. Thanks to the entire Adler Lodge team and as they put it - let you soul fly!
Como Alpina Dolomites
4.8/550 Reviews
We stayed for 3 nights and could of stayed longer. Despite the natural scenery and location being the second to non, the hotel itself is exceptional in all areas including cleanliness, location, views, staff and food. Also the spa and gym facilities are excellent. I would highly recommend taking a e-bike tour around the area with one of their highly trained guides. Totally worth the money, you will see so much more in a short period while getting some great exercise.
Hotel Europa Splendid
4.2/545 Reviews
We spent five days (four nights) guests at Hotel Europa Splendid. The hotel is very beautiful, the rooms are different to keep the original building of the palace in the style of liberty. We were in a Double Comfort. The room was spacious, parquet floor, well furnished, comfortable bed, couchs may be too hot for the season, very spacious floor bath and marble walls. All the equipments are working (TV, Fridge Bar, lamps, hairdryer, safe, air conditioning). General use rooms in order and clean. The breakfast is wonderful with a nice buffet. It is not packed; marmalades, yoghurt and butter are presented in cytolines and the sugar made in the house cut into vase. A wide range of fresh, syruped and dry fruit, and salses and cheeses. For anyone who wishes it is also available centrifuge. The dinner is very special with a wide choice of ranges. The food is prepared carefully in the combinations, sometimes very special but always pleasant. The streams are gourmets but also at dinner you can enjoy a spectacular buffet. Free and efficient room staff On request and with separate payment, the garage is available 150 metres from the structure. TOP! COMPLEMENTS
Emma Historic Hotel
4.4/541 Reviews
The hotel was only open near the train station (Villabassa station) which was imposed as a compulsory choice at the time of booking but then revealed a very happy choice. We have the “nostalgia” room furnished with modern furniture combined with more modern furniture. All extremely functional and enjoyable. Excellent furniture and the functionality of the bathrooms, far beyond what is expected in a 3 stars. Sorry that the “historic” of the building does not allow the installation of an elevator for the upper floors: reaching the 2nd floor with a helicoidal scale (beautiful and characteristic) is not easy for people with reduced mobility. The hotel is very good and has some typical features. The overflowing of local and/or home-made products (marmelade, butter and honey) in conjunction with similar industrial products is very appreciated. Useful point of reference for any future travel.
