Wir haben einen wunderschönen Kurzurlaub im Seehotel Ambach verbracht, als Familie mit zwei Kindern (6 und 9 Jahre) und waren rundum begeistert. Das Haus hat eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre. Am meisten geschätzt haben wir die Lage direkt am See mit eigenem Steg – morgens eine Runde schwimmen, nachmittags mit den Kindern im Tretboot raus oder einfach auf der Liegewiese entspannen. Auch unsere Kinder haben sich auf Anhieb wohlgefühlt, obwohl das Hotel kein typisches Familienhotel ist. Genau das hat es aber für uns besonders gemacht: keine Animation, kein Trubel, sondern viel Raum und Zeit für gemeinsame Momente. Das Frühstück war ein Highlight: regional, frisch und mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Besonders angenehm: man sitzt im lichtdurchfluteten Speisesaal oder draußen mit Blick auf den See. Auch das Abendessen war jeden Tag aufs Neue ein Genuss – kreativ, aber nicht kompliziert, mit tollen Weinen aus der Umgebung. Unser Zimmer war großzügig, sauber und mit wunderbarem Blick auf die Weinberge. Das gesamte Team war freundlich, unaufdringlich und immer präsent, wenn man etwas brauchte. Wir kommen sicher wieder!

Das Seehotel Ambach ist ein stilvoller Rückzugsort in traumhafter Lage direkt am See. Die Architektur ist außergewöhnlich, mit einer gelungenen Mischung aus Retro-Charme und modernem Komfort. Der Garten und der Pool laden zum Entspannen ein, der Zugang zum See ist ein echtes Highlight. Das Team ist herzlich und aufmerksam, der Service persönlich und angenehm unaufdringlich. Kulinarisch überzeugt das Hotel mit einem reichhaltigen Frühstück und einem kreativen Abendmenü auf hohem Niveau. Ideal zum Abschalten und Wiederkommen!

Wir waren eine Woche in diesem wunderschönen Hotel mit siebziger Jahre Style direkt mit Seezugang. Essen war überwiegend schmackhaft, wenn auch ein wenig zu viel. Weniger wäre sicherlich mehr. An- und Abreise lief zügig, wenn wir auch gern Hilfe angeboten bekommen hätten. Und da bin ich schon beim Hauptthema. Uns fehlt die Seele des kleinen „familiengeführten“ Hotels? Wo ist die Familie? Keine Nachfrage am Tisch oder wo auch immer. Servicepersonal sehr zuvorkommend. Wir waren sicherlich nicht das letzte mal im Hause Ambach. Vielleicht erleben wir eine kleine Veränderung. Würde uns freuen.

Schon zum x-ten Mal im Seehotel Ambach – und jedes Mal denken wir: besser geht’s nicht! Wir sind inzwischen Stammgäste und jedes Mal aufs Neue begeistert: vom Essen auf 5-Sterne-Niveau, nicht nur kreativ, frisch und mit so viel Liebe zubereitet, sondern auch mit viel Herzlichkeit serviert! Die neuere Wellnesszone? So schön, dass man freiwillig die Wanderschuhe gegen den Bademantel tauscht – und dabei ganz vergisst, wie viele Wander- und Velowege direkt vor der Tür starten. Architektonisch ist das Seehotel Ambach wirklich speziell: einzigartig in seiner Form, harmonisch eingebettet zwischen See und Park – mit kostenlosem Verleih von Wassersportgeräten und Velos für kleine Abenteuer zwischendurch. Wer hier keine Entspannung findet, sucht vermutlich noch den Hoteleingang. Für uns ist das Seehotel Ambach ein echter Kraftplatz. Ein Ort, der sich jedes Jahr liebevoll neu erfindet, dabei aber immer authentisch bleibt – ein bisschen wie ein guter Wein, nur dass man danach nicht schwankt (außer vor Glück). Kurz gesagt: ein Platz zum Ankommen, Aufatmen und Genießen – ein Ort, wo Herz, Magen und Seele gleichermaßen Erholung finden.

Das Hotel ist ca. 50 Jahre alt, aber im sehr guten Zustand, wir denken das es in den letzten Jahren aufwendig renoviert wurde. Der 70 Jahre Stil wurde beibehalten und Konsequent durchgezogen. So findet man viele nostalgische Elemente. Die Zimmer sind ruhig und sehr sauber, das Bad wurde modern umgebaut. Die Lage an sich, direkt am See mit eigenen Zugang ist schon Toll. Die Liegewiese mit Pool und Badehaus ist wirklich gelungen. Das Personal überaus freundlich und kompetent. Das Essen war auf hohem Niveau aber in Südtirol geht das besser. Das Hotel ist kinderfreundlich. Ich kann das Hotel nur empfehlen und werde sicherlich wieder dort übernachten!

Not sure everyone who visits this hotel really gets it but it is totally fab. The 70s decor is super fun and I wouldn’t want to change it though delighted the bathrooms have all had gorgeous makeovers. The food is probably the best I’ve ever had at a hotel with the vegetarian menu unbelievably brilliant. Service is fab in the restaurant, breakfast excellent - they even provide a juicer to make your own. The setting on lake Caldaro is gorgeous, with paddle boards, kayaks, pedalos and a rowing boat that you just help yourselves too. The swimming pool is fab and the badehaus was great. All in all, a super family-run hotel in a gorgeous setting.
