Olde Tudor Hotel

We love this hotel! We called them up few days before to confirm the amenities inside our room and also a special request too! They answered our call and sort it out super quick! The location is super convenient, close to airport. Bathroom very clean, beds are comfortable. Air conditioning maintained our room in a perfect temperature. One thing which is not important for everyone, is the dishwasher is leaking water!

If I could rate this below a zero, I would. This was, hands down, the worst hotel experience I've ever experienced... and I stay in a lot of hotels. I checked into my room at around 2.10pm to not long after, discover there was no hot water in the bathroom.... so I rang and told them to which they said they'd come have a look. Cool, no worries, right!!!! I was travelling for my daughters basketball tournament and had to leave for a game around 4pm at which time there was no hot water still and no one had come to the room to investigate as of yet. I got a msg while at the game that it had been fixed..... but when I get back it was actually still not working. So I msg them back and let them know.... they tell me they'd go check again.... I'm at the restaurant having dinner at this point and when I return it's still not working. I ring.... no answer.... I ring a few more times still nothing. Eventually I get hold of the young man and he tells me that the hot water actually hadn't been on but they are trying to fix it. Anyway just after 9pm and I finally get hot water. The next day I go to check out at 10am and its all closed up - opening at 11am... I wanted to talk to someone about a possible part refund for wasting my entire evening chasing staff and having no hot water, so I ring.... the bar staff answered and told me there was no manager in all weekend and to call tomorrow. I told her what I wanted to talk to her about and she told me she couldn't help, but to call. No worries!!! But I had another question re: a bar voucher that she could help me with.... but before I got a chance to even finish my question she screams at me down the phone and then hangs up on me. I tried to ring back multiple times but she just screens them. I eventually got hold of the manager on the Monday after trying all day to contact her. She was the rudest most unprofessional person I've ever dealt with and told me that I was lying because no-none else had complained of hot water issues and that her staff said it was working fine 😱.... even though I have communication from her staff from the night telling me it was fixed ( what's been fixed if I was lying?) Not only that, but she continued by rudely asking me "if I'd stop paying my rent in a rental just because the hot water wasn't working?" And also stated that "i must be blind" if I didn't see the voucher on the desk in my room (that i knew nothing about, so wasn't looking for) She also ended the conversation by saying that she is not issuing any kind of refund so now I'm going through 3rd parties to do so. My daughter had played 2 basketballs games that day and would have liked to of had a shower before she went to bed but didn't get to because it took 7 hours for staff to fix it and it was too late..... but that's my problem and I'm lying????? The only disappointing thing was the pool and hot tub both were open yet the water was filthy- brown water with a green rim. Otherwise extremely clean and today. The young lady working the bar, was an absolute hard working individual and nothing was too much trouble. Very welcoming. Thank you
