The house comfortably sleep 6 people, and there are also additional sleeping arrangements as described below. .ADDITIONAL SLEEPING - - There is a twin size, thick and comfortable memory foam Lucid mattress measuring 73 x 36 inches and also a lightweight, easy to carry single folding mattress, measuring 75 x 31 inches, to accommodate two extra guests (these both go on the floor, and both have bedding available). There is also a pack and play for a baby/small child, with fitted sheets available. 8 adults/children and 1 baby are really the maximum for the home. OUTDOOR LIVING - - The backyard is fully fenced in and is very suitable for pets. There are three outside seating areas and two sun loungers overlooking the private pool. The pool has a gas heater which is available for use with an additional fee on request. You can relax in the outdoor covered dining area overlooking the pool with comfortable seating for 6, an outdoor light, a misting system and a pull down sun shade. There is a propane BBQ by the back patio. The back patio has been recently resurfaced with a no-slip surface. There is an easy to use propane gas fire pit table, with seating for 6 around it. The pool and hot tub are well maintained and serviced weekly. The hot tub has an "easy lift" for the cover, making it easy to pull back the cover and jump in for some R&R time! There is no additional fee to use the hot tub and it is heated and ready to use year round! There is a 20 year old lemon tree that produces a huge amount of fruit in the fall. The backyard is really well stocked with mature plants, which makes it feel very green, serene and secluded. The yard backs up to a wash where you'll see lots of wildlife, including quail, rabbits, squirrels, Javelinas, Coyotes, Bob Cats, Harris and Coopers Hawks, and occasionally a giant owl! The front yard has two giant saguaro cacti, huge aloe vera plants and a beautiful bougainvillea.THE NEIGHBORS AND PARKING - - The neighborhood is quiet and safe and the neighbors are friendly. There is off-street parking on the driveway for two vehicles. No parking on the street please - the additional parking is on the road opposite the church. Our Santa-Fe style home, with its giant, natural beams and stucco exterior, has been a highly rated rental property for the last 17 years with many repeat visitors, and we are the new owners. We’ve added solar heating to the dramatic infinity pool which extends the season by a few weeks fall and spring, though not through the winter. It hangs out over the wild and natural scenery with an army of saguaro cacti and breathtaking views of the Catalina Mountains and wild desert landscape. You won’t want to leave the pool and bubbling hot tub / spa scene on our patio, day or night, as this is entertainment enough to keep you busy! There’s a covered brick patio with large dining table for enjoying your meals outdoors, or just sit and watch the twinkling stars, spectacular city lights and the moonrise. There’s a perfect spot for yoga, and plenty of lounges for sunning. While Tucson offers many fabulous dining options, a serious cook will love our large, fully equipped kitchen with bar seating and a big island. A trip to the nearest grocery store (or a bit longer drive to my favorite store, AJ’s) and you’re set for wonderful nights in, plus breakfasts and dramatic sunrises. We will provide a list of convenient shops and restaurants for you when you arrive! There are drip and Keurig coffee pots and some coffee to get your motor started. The adjacent dining room has a family-sized table plus a little coffee-drinking spot, with big picture windows to observe the desert and watch for deer & wildlife. A spacious, vaulted living room offers a large TV on Dish network so you can pull up your favorite movies, or bring your DVDs, and a comfy leather couch for your naps! Large picture windows provide an ever-changing scenery where you can watch morning break, night fall, or weather blow through the valley. Guests have raved about our comfortable beds! There are three bedrooms, two with king beds and attached bathrooms. The primary/master bedroom has room for a rollaway (provided) or baby’s porta crib (not provided) and all bedrooms offer plenty of closet space and hangers. If you love hiking, we’re in the sweet spot- the Sweetwater Preserve and Camino del Cerro trailheads are a couple of minutes away, as is the Saguaro National Park with many hiking options.
