I really enjoyed my stay here for a whole month. The general manger, Desmond, and front desk, Ashley, were the absolute best. They helped me out a lot when I asked for something and they were always making sure my stay was as comfortable as it could’ve been. I do have to say I feel as though the housekeeping could’ve been a bit more consistent especially for being there for a month, but when they did come by they always did a phenomenal job on making sure my room was clean and neat. The location of the hotel is 10 mins driving from food places, the mall, pretty much anywhere. Overall, I really recommend this inn for how pleasant and safe is felt.

Excellent service from “Joe”at Front desk. Greeted with a smile and warm welcome followed by great customer service. Had an issue with my room which he rectified immediately without missing a step. This particular hotel has always done a great job of hiring Great front desk personnel.

I like how Joe, from the front desk got us our rooms early and the housekeeper, Shanel was absolutely chill,too. Desmond the GM also helped as well with preparations. 5 out of 5 customer service, I would come back here and I think everyone should as well!

Accommodations were excellent and staff was super friendly and helpful. Every one was attentive to all of our requests. Room was comfy, clean and quiet. Breakfast choices were plentiful and delicious. A variety of choices each day of the stay.

I thought the room was nice and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately I left a jacket there. When I called the front desk I was told that it was in lost and found but the manager was not available to recover the jacket. When I called the next day the front desk said that they are unable to locate the jacket and to call back to speak to a manager. I called a third time and was informed that even though housekeeping and the front desk remember seeing the jacket it is no longer in lost and found. When I asked to speak to the manager I was told she was not available. The hotel has refused to acknowledge my situation and I have yet to hear from management. I have reached out to IHG corporate office and they have been very responsive to my situation but they have not been able to get a clear answer from the hotel. I am lead to believe that the hotel management is not trustworthy and I would avoid the hotel at all costs. I am a Diamond Elite member with 279 days in IHG properties last year.

Our room had visible and smelly black mold all along the windowsill. And there was a BRIGHT light outside shining into our room -- the cheap, ineffective window treatment couldn't block it out at all. We tried hanging up a blanket in addition to the blinds, but that didn't work. I'm shocked that this hotel is well-rated on Tripadvisor. Our room and our daughter's were dirty and gross. Hers had a dirty towel on the bathroom floor from a previous guest, and the bright light outside her window flickered all night long like a strobe or disco light.

The room was comfortable, breakfast was good and the staff were all friendly. It was only a 10-minute drive into old Petersburg and also close to all the battlefield sites. The knock for me was the room had a musty smell. I guess I could've asked to change but it was late and I went "nose blind" within a few minutes anyway. I definitely remembered, though, whenever I left the room and came back. Obviously this didn't bother me much but in the interest of full disclosure I felt the need to report this.
