As others have said, it's a little tired. I find that places with great views/locations on water often pay less attention to providing luxurious spaces and figure the location is worth the price. It is pretty expensive, but our room was huge, next to the beach, and was clean. It was pretty bare, but had a mini fridge and microwave. The bed, chairs, sofa were kind of saggy, so not very comfortable. The beach is pretty good. A bit rocky and seemed very shallow for a long way out. The resort is 5 minutes from Sandbanks beach though which is gorgeous. So, it might be a good deal for a family with a couple of kids who you want to be able to just run out and play on the beach right there. Not so great for a relaxing adult experience.

I give it a -1 out of 10 It was VERY over priced for the condition and cleanliness of the room! It’s very old and not well kept! I left behind my special toothbrush in a travel case and very expensive toothpaste! I called hours later to ask them to mail it to me and I’ll pay the charges, they then informed me that house keeping had thrown it out do to hygiene If anyone should be worried about customer hygiene it’s the people staying there! We arrived to a long black hair in the tub, the old carpet smells like a—— and they spray a nasty scent to try and mask it! DO NOTTTTT recommend this resort, I’ll sleep in my car before spending hundreds of dollars on a dive like this one!

When the opportunity arose for a long overdue but quick working vacation, I immediately thought of Isaiah Tubbs. Having had the pleasure of staying at this resort many years ago, I immediately booked in for two nights stay. Because of my scheduling uncertainty, I could not commit myself to a more extended stay. That turned out to be a blessing. The resort I expected and fondly remembered doesn’t exist any more. I was early for my reservation, so I decided on a late lunch at the restaurant on site. No issues there whatsoever. Service and food more than satisfactory. On to checking in. Once again, no issues. But it all went wrong very quickly. If you read other reviews about this facility, you’ll understand the issues I encountered. Isaiah Tubbs used to be a great place, but if you come here expecting a top notch resort, you will instead find something more in line with an RV park, without the RV’s. No doubt other resorts will have some of the same issues I encountered, and I understand that, but at just under $1000 that I spent for two nights stay here, I feel cheated. I highly recommend all potential visitors to this place to read all the resort reviews. Definitely not a satisfied customer.

The cottage we stayed in was falling apart, the fridge was broken, and the water pressure was on and off (even when showering). The bunk bed room was the size of a small closet. The walls in the rooms didn't go up to the ceilings so you could see and hear everything. The blinds were broken, and there was hardly any cutlery in the kitchen. I could go on. Spent so much for a terrible stay.

We were there for a large family reunion - including 10 children under 9. The venue was perfect for our needs. The beach provided hours of fun for the kids while the adults could socialize during the day, and provided wonderful sunset views in the evening. We also had use of a pavilion which was an ideal gathering spot for lunch and dinners and night time bonfires and partying. The restaurant service was exceptional when our group arrived for a more formal dinner and there was something on the menu for everyone to enjoy. Most important, I can not say enough regarding how accommodating the staff was, nothing was a bother and their suggestions were extremely helpful. We will be back!

It’s a wonderful place. The only criticism is the restaurant The Knoll. Disgusting food. Very expensive. Condescending host.
