This hotel was very clean and quiet. They are so accommodating. I could live in my room it’ was so clean and comfortable. They truly care about their guests. All of them do. I think it’s because of the Manager - Allison. She truly seems to lead by example.

This hotel has been booked for one night and not because of the ****** located down the path from the entrance of the hotel but simply because we wanted to visit once again 1000 islands. This is a hotel we stayed at in the past, although I do not remember the previous room to be so illogic: no night desks near the beds to put your phone, book etc you might need: - warm breakfast included with variety of drinks - no car park fee - large room with anything you might need or not - our room, 521 turned out to be rather quiet after having several telephone conversations with the receptionist prior to arriving at the hotel - nearby there are lots of supermarkets and restaurants with one, the Lone star requiring a return. Belleville is changing massively, is nothing the way it used to be a few years ago, nevermind a few decades ago, I am being told.

Newer hotel in area so fairly clean, moderate furnishing and amenities offered. We travel frequently but don't honestly use this hotel chain so thought we would try it out. We booked hotel as it was advertised on there website as ”pet friendly” and we were travelling with our small crated cat. When we went to check in the young lady at desk told us there was a $30/nite pet charge and when we asked about the charge, an old unpleasant man who ubruptly informed us ”its on website, its listed! ” We have no problem with paying it had it been list on site or told verbally when I phoned several weeks earlier to confirm our reservation. No transparency here. I mean if you are going to charge a $90 + taxes pet fee, be upfront about it, like most hotels do . Website clearly says pet friendly and further says ”ask at hotel for details” no such inflated charge listed under policies either. Honestly seems like a money grab. We checked in and were pleasantly suprised with decor and clean looking appearance of hotel as a whole. We got settled into our room early afternoon and accomodations seemed decent, nice layout of suite but walls are paper thin and could hear kids screaming and banging walls and a couple of dogs barking across the hall nearly non-stop our entire visit. Air conditioner leaked and our carpet was wet in front of unit all 3 days. We let front desk know, they didnt come to repair. Towels and bedding had some wear and staining. Bed seemed comfortable to sit on but both of us woke up with sore backs each morning unfortunately. The ” hot breakfast” advertised was sadly another big dissapointment. We were here three mornings, EXACT SAME cold egg looking omellettes, microwaved pork sausage links, uncooked hashbrowns, they also had boiled eggs in a bowl and mushy fruit salad both un-refrigerated, same exact breakfast served all three days! Coffee was good actually and they did have fresh bagels and some cereal. The young lady working area was always busy filling the dishes constantly, there was lots of stuff in bowls just nothing most would enjoy Didn't use the pool but it looked decent. Lotsa good local restaurants within walking distance to support and enjoy. My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights this week. Unlikely we would stay here again or recommend.

This is our second time at Lakeside and it has gotten worse. I’m so disappointed. We arrived early and used the pool while we waited for our room and the front desk called me early asking if I wanted to do early check in for $25, really? Then, while at the pool there was an accident so we weren’t able to go in for the last 2 hours of the day. Ok fine. And I have to agree with the last review on here - sooo many rules especially around the pool with the buzzer going off every second. We get our room and then there’s a biggggggg bug in the wash room which we were able to get into the garbage can. I advise front desk who said they’ll take care of while we were at dinner. Come back from dinner and it’s still there, very gross. Called front desk and they finally took care of it and said yeah these things happen we have trees. Ok so a motel is ok with bugs in the bathroom. Nice. My last complaint is that at the pool, the menu says there is a gratuity of 20% when there is 6 or more people. I was charged gratuity both times and we were only 2 people. Not happy!!

Just spent 2 nights in The House Next Door room 10 of the Waring House. For the nightly of $275 I was shocked at the room. I was part of a large group, and unfortunately there were no other rooms available or I would have checked out. To start with, in the bathroom there was a large section of black mold along the floor board, the caulking along the bottom of shower stall as well as the track were in need of deep cleaning, same with the floor of the shower since I don’t think it was meant to be grey. The sinks were cracked and unbelievably the clothes rail (only place to hang clothes up) was right next to the toilet! After my shower I hung up my towel & the towel bar came crashing down from the wall. The lights in the room were either entirely off or all on as they seemed to be on the same circuit. Same goes for the electrical outlets, so I couldn’t charge my phone once the lights were out. The manager seemed shocked when I showed her the photos, apologized and offered a small discount but it really didn’t make up for a truly awful room. It needs to be gutted and they should start over again.

Outstanding
GGuest UserWe just came home from 3 nights and 4 days at this wonderful location. We were celebrating our 55th wedding anniversary and the staff had even left out a little chalkboard congratulating us, along with a lovely piece of chocolate. The suites are absolutely spotless, smell so lovely and talk about luxurious! Bed and pillows very comfortable, lovely big shower and plenty of wardrobe and storage space. Staff members we were fortunate to meet were very friendly. Michael seems a very nice guy (have only spoken to him on the phone) obviously a terrific business man with these great suites in mind. Great little details in the hallway. A Polaroid camera to take a picture leave a memory and write in the album, a couple of games on the hall tables. These suites are within walking distance to shops, restaurants and harbour and a very short drive to Lake on the Mountain. You even have a cafe right downstairs. We will definitely be back!
TTangtanghezhuoneFor us who arrived late, the hotel gave us a good experience. There are charging parking spaces, there is a delicious breakfast restaurant cafe next to it, not far from the nearby winery. recommend.
An interesting and historical building to stay in, conveniently located just off the Main St (which was great, because it was close enough to walk, but avoided the downtown noise/congestion). The concierge was outstanding! Friendly, helpful and happy to bring you a cup of tea if you needed. The included breakfast was 5 stars! It felt like a high class brunch. We had a wonderful stay.
