This is by far the WORST motel I have ever seen in my life. I booked this place through *********** which by the way… NEVER book with them. They are so hard to get ahold of and not helpful at all. When I arrived at the motel, I was greeted nicely and got the keys to our room. When I got to the room… it was absolutely filthy and reeked of cigarettes. You could tell they didn’t even try to clean the room!! There was literally brown spots in the shower and human hair… I didn’t even touch the towels or linens because I was so scared of how long it had been since they were washed. There were stains on the walls and floors and the curtains were falling off the wall… I cannot believe this place is allowed to charge $268 for two nights!!! They should pay people to stay there because it’s absolutely disgusting. We didn’t even stay one night, we immediately booked at the quality inn next door which was amazing compared to the motel 6 dump hole. When I went to tell the gentleman at the front (who was nice initially) that I’m sorry but we do not feel comfortable staying here, can we please get a refund… he kept telling us it shouldn’t be a problem but to just cancel on *********** and that his “manager” would refund in the morning. He didn’t even try to argue that the room was filthy! We submitted a cancellation with *********** and waited for the next day for his manager to cancel. Fast forward to the next day, no cancellation was ever approved. I called the motel four times to speak to the “manager” and the employees kept sending me on a wild goose chase! One said the manager would be in shortly and would call me and another said he would call the manager and that he would call me right back. I called back again two hours after that and the employee once again told me that he just needed to call the manager and then the manager would call me back. Still no call or confirmation of cancellation email… two more hours go by and still no contact from this “manager”. I call the motel one last time around 4:30pm and the lady who refers to the manager as “EK” states that he has gone home for the day and that she would once again like all the other employees… take down my number and have him call me back when he got in at 6am the next morning. (Did I mention this is my birthday weekend and I’ve spent most of it dealing with this horrible motel!!!) Fast forward to the next morning… I call the motel and this time NO ANSWER. I’m under the impression that they probably recognize my number by now and are avoiding me. So at 6am!!! My husband and I drive over to the motel to hopefully speak to the manager in person. When we get there, the employee states he will call the manager to come right now to the front office. I felt so uneasy thinking about finally meeting this “manager” that has been avoiding my calls. The “manager” EK walks into the office… it’s the man who helped us the first night!!! He lied about having to speak to the manager, he was the manager all along!
