We always stay at the Prescott Resort every time we are in Prescott. It was very convenient to our golf venue for the weekend.

Service was great. The hotel is nice. No microwave in the room and none were available but the customer service was great!

Let’s see… where do I begin… for $250/night, we expect this place to be at least someone modern. Didn’t need to be overly fancy, but clean, with nice rooms and accommodations. Boy were we disappointed. When we checked in, we were given room 231. When we got to the door, none of the keys worked. After trying for 2 minutes, a staff member finally walked by and said that we had to insert and remove the key 5-6 times very quickly and then it would work. Perhaps they should add that to the house rules or even print “Insert 5-6 times rapidly” on the key cards. After several attempts, one of our 2 keys let us in. The smell of must and ashtray is the first thing that hits you. My kid even asked “what that smell is”. The carpet was tattered and torn with stains on it. The TV on the wall was a plasma screen from circa 2002. While the linens on the bed looked ok initially, we realized that the pillows were half the size of standard pillows and felt like they were stuffed with old cotton balls. The bed… yeah… let’s talk about the bed. The mattress was easily 15-20 years old. The pillow top was so worn down that all you felt was the springs. The decor in the room was also 15-20 years old. The refrigerator did not work, and the paint on the ceiling in the bathroom was peeling off. We called down to the front desk to see if we could get another room. Lucky for us… they said they had room 517 and it was newly remodelled. Hallelujah! Let’s do this. We ran down to the lobby to grab keys to our new room. We put the key in the lock and to our amazement, it opened with one swipe. Things are looking up… or so we thought. As the door opened, we found ourselves staring at the exact same room setup as the previous room. Old carpet, old decor, old smell (at least no cigarette smell), old tv, old mattress with springs… “Are they gaslighting us?” my wife asked. Sure seemed like it. While there was no paint peeling, the black mold in the shower area was pretty scary. See pics for more detail. Now let’s talk about the staff in the lobby bar area... We walk into the restaurant around 830p and the bartender tells us the kitchen will be closed in 15 minutes. We placed our order with her because we have hungry kids who just spent 2 hours in a car ride, as we did too. Within 5 minutes, the bartender tells us the kitchen rejected our order and we would not be getting any food. So now we have to jump in the car and go get food for us, another family and 4 hungry kids. We get back from picking up some burgers, and sit down at the table in the lobby bar to eat. Then one of the biznitchy bartenders comes over and tells us we can’t eat food at the tables, to which we immediately called out the fact that they would not sell us food, our kids are starving and…. “You know what… I’m done talking to you… go get the hotel manager.” Thankfully, the hotel manager comes over and tells us that we’re fine to eat our food at the tables. All is well. Or so we though

Ehhh! Just an overnight getaway. The place is old and rundown. Beds are uncomfortable. The restaurant doesn’t have great choices and are overpriced. Has a ****** in building and another at bottom of the hill. Asked about shuttle to the lower ****** and response was “Yeah we have one” but didn’t know what hours they were running. So basically we could wait outside to see if they were still running. Too cold for that so we stayed at theirs and lost, lost lost.

I represent a national organization and I was lucky enough to be able to get our national board meeting here in my backyard. We had most of our members stay in the hotel and we rented the large meeting rooms with breakfast/lunch provided daily. Dinner was provided our last night. I will say...the views are spectacular, the ground are wonderful. The review is a mixed bag due to the different groups which supported us. Registering: 2 Stars. I had several complaints about the rudeness on the phone. Several of our members chose NOT to stay there and went down the road to another hotel. Meeting Room and meeting room support staff: 5 HUGE STARS. That team was outstanding. We do this every year in a different location, and they were the best we have seen. Our setup for of last dinner and charity auction was great. Overall Food: 2.5 Stars. It was "ok", but we were charged higher prices than all the better restaurant in Prescott, it was just not that good. Plus when asked by our host to start our meeting early so they could get our auction room setup, she arranged for the breakfast to start early. Breakfast was not ready. Several of our members asked the staff about opening early, only to be rebuffed and told it would open on normal schedule. When I spoke with our Support person for the meeting room HE TOOK THE INITIATIVE and got breakfast open in 10 mins (SHINING LIGHT) Rooms: 1 Star. Besides my own bad/dirty/with pieces of the furniture falling off room. Many reported the same experiences and disappointment. Again, although we received a discount on the rooms ($189), this place is supposed to be high-end and we were supposed have some of the upgraded rooms. Elevator: BE CAREFUL. One member put her arm out to keep the door open for another member and the elevator shut on her arm and stayed shut for a few seconds. Bruising and temporarily lost use of her fingers. When reported to front desk, no action was taken. I escalated to our host after 2 days, who did setup some time for her to speak with the manager. From her report, he was less than helpful and dismissive and refused to show her last elevator inspection report. Bar: 2 were 5 Stars, 1 was a ZERO. Great location, great views, great choices. 2 of 3 bartenders where absolutely spectacular and my members tipped them very well. We had an agreement (they close early) to have them stay open until 10pm. I had to listen to a conversation between the great bartender and another bartender about keeping it open. The later stated: "I am not keeping it open, I have more important things to do" Our favorite bartender was great, kept it open for us and received a few hundred dollars in tips for about 10 drinks.

Way dirtier then expected The service was great, the room… ehh not so much. I got “upgraded” to a King Suite and it was not the clean suite I had envisioned. I had my wife and 7month old with me and I was playing music that weekend in downtown. And needless to say all of us were let down. The pool was open but the water and pool were slightly slimy, a little dirty looking and pool tiles were missing in a few places. The room itself had dirty and ripped curtains, extension cords everywhere (not ideal for a newly crawling baby) lights out, doors off the hinges and ripped and disturbed carpet. I explained all this to the front desk and they simply said sorry I’ll let maintenance know. Not a discount or offer for refund, nothing. So we won’t be staying here again, even though most of the staff was great.
