went last week with 20 friends as a group , expensive drinks but all these places all the same , the food was a set affair ,with no alternate meal offered at the table just chicken was served , i myself dont eat chicken , so i had to make do with some mashed potato and some very fried out veg ! but the cheese cake sweet was good , but again no alternative was offered , but despite this still had a good night , staff was friendly , we did not stay the night , would take a sandwich if went again though ha .

As an EV car user I visited the site to charge my car and use the facilities. The site was great & staff friendly but I couldn't believe there was at least 3 non EV vehicles parked in charging bays even when there were spaces free. I was even more shocked when I saw someone get in to one of them & they actually worked here! Thankfully there was a free charger where I could charge but next time it may not be the case. If you're going to allow EV chargers in your premises then surely your own staff need to respect that more.

The staff in the pub side of the hotel are absolutely first class. Myself and a small group of friends are local and have been regulars for many years. The current staff are really friendly and helpful and always put their customers first. A special mention to Sophie, Amy, Chloe, Eamon, Ryan, Alice and Jordan. They are all a credit to your company. Well done

Been coming here once a month for college all staff are very friendly and helpful and is nice and easy to get to coming off the motorway or from whiston station, pati on reception this time round was very helpful too 100% recommend this hotel for a nice comfy stay.

I've stayed at the village hotel in Newcastle several times and received excellent service, the same service was enjoyed at Liverpool, staff went above and beyond my expectations, very friendly helpful staff and the whole experience received was absolutely fab.

Last minute booking as going to our daughters graduation and decided to stay night before as well as night after. Couldn't get a double room so messaged asking if they had any last minute changes could we swap to one and they had very kindly made us a double by popping 2 singles together. Room was nice and clean, bed was comfy and the fan was a godsend as it was so hot. Was so warm we sat outside with a pint until late, love the twinkly lights and friendly bar staff. In general the staff were all really pleasant and all spoke to say hello which was nice! Only disappointment was the £5 car parking charge as we used to village hotels being free parking and one of the reasons we opted for this hotel over a Central Liverpool option. Breakfast was nice and choc au pain was tasty, and my little teapot was appreciated...... The hot breakfast was OK but not as nice as I remembered from a stay in another village hotel... Though nothing wrong with it. We would definitely come back and stay 😊
