Baymont by Wyndham Prattville/Montgomery

The hotel was clean and staff were nice!! The outdoor pool was a plus and was open until 10! It was great for our family during travels!

The room was a great value, the registration clerk very friendly, the breakfast sausage very tasty, the beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. The cons were the room smelt a bit musty, there were obvious signs of formers guests smoking (cigarette stains on the tub), the doors and walls needs to be wiped down and the water pressure was ok but not like we prefer. At the end of our stay I took a wet washcloth and cleaned a spot on the door just to see if the door could be cleaned. With nothing but water and no effort it came off with ease. It’s the little things that I notice when staying at a hotel. Try to clean the doors and walls better.

Would not recommend. Outdated, not very clean, noise, off beaten path, not what I expect out of Wyndham named properties.

Damp room, wet carpets,foul odor. Seems they shampooed the carpets before our stay. Didn't notice till I got out of bed and didn't put my flip flops on but the room was damp and the foul odor got worse as the night went on the the smell of the carpet cleaner wore off. Checked out early couldn't sleep the smell was that bad

The place was very accommodating, manager was very customer centric! We arrived at the hotel computer system ness Dow we had reservations # an all but manager could not validate, system would come an go back down manager was on phone asking when would they be up and heard them tell her they were down also it’s being worked on. Manager ask could we pay cash, we paid the a cash for the amount on reservation and was allowed to check in manually, with had written receipt . Where there is a will there is a way!! Thank to the manager for her quick thinking!!

Upon getting into our room, we noticed the dust ruffle was badly stained and in poor shape. I pulled back the covers and lifted the pillow and a bug was crawling on the sheets!! And I noticed the sheets were badly stained on both beds. I pulled back the sheets and the mattress pad was TERRIBLY stained. There was a 1/2 gap under the door!! There were gaps around the edges of the door too. I immediately informed the front desk. The attendant then suggested we look at other rooms. She showed me two other rooms and the dust ruffles were in better shape, I was not allowed to pulled back the covers to inspect the sheets. There were gaps on the top left and bottom left of the door, light was shining in on both doors. She then took me to a room with one King bed. There were gaps on the top left and bottom left of the door as well...light was shining in! After an uneasy discussion, I felt trapped because we could not go anywhere else due to it being graduation weekend. After she left, my wife and I pulled back the covers and found multiple stains on the sheets again!! And the mattress pad had obvious yellow stains on it. It was TOTALLY disgusting! I went over to my father-in-law's room and inspected his beds and ALL THE SHEETS HAD STAINS on them!! WHAT IS GOING ON!!!!! I realized at this time is was USELESS to ask for clean sheets! Because after inspecting the sheets of FOUR BEDS, they were ALL STAINED and I did not have confidence that the motel could provide safe, clean sheets. Also the towels smelled like gym towels and has a sweaty musky smell to them. They were thin and disgusting. So I decided to purchase new sheets and towels at Walmart for $96.00. I informed the front desk what I did and why and that I needed to talk to the manager. I was told she would be in the following morning. The next morning I spoke with the manager and she asked if her housekeeper could retrieve the sheets in question. I said yes and proceeded to demonstrate to the housekeeper the stained mattress pad and her exact words were, "OH MY GOD!! YOU ARE RIGHT. THESE SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN USED." The housekeeper told the manager, (In my presence) that they were stained. The manager told me that she would consider it all and let me know later. I checked with her later in the day and she told she would either refund me one nights stay or give me two night on my Wyndham points. I asked to let me consider it. The next morning, I asked the manager if she would consider a refund for two nights (we rented two rooms for two nights...4 total nights) She said no that her offer was the best she could do and that I decided to stay and not go somewhere else. I told her we HAD to stay due to it being graduation weekend, we DID NOT HAVE A CHOICE!!! She said she would not change her offer. I told her that I had to pay nearly $100 to make it right and one night's refund does not make it right. THIS WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND A MISERABLE ENCOUNTER WI
