The Charles in Praag is een prima hotel, vlakbij de Karelsbrug, maar net uit de drukte. Hey formaat van de kamer is prima, geluiddicht, goede airco en een heerlijk ontbijt met veel keuzes. Een aanrader.

Don’t judge the hotel by the entrance or reception, which are sober and bare. They have a small elevator, good for 3 or 4 people, so if you have large suitcases, take turns. With the heavy room key, you’ll get a blank card to activate the lights. The bed is something between queen and king size, which I usual refer to as European king size. Our tall window faced the street, but it wasn’t very noisy; just one day, when masons were working on a sidewalk. The decor is quaint, with frescoes on the walls, and a high wooden ceiling, also painted. The bathroom makes an odd contrast, with modern tiles; the shower is roomy, but the sink has little space for toiletries. Towels are limited, but bathrobes are available, in the armoire. A bottle of fresh water is filled every day. AC is a mini split that cools down the room very quickly, so try placing the air vents toward the ceiling, because they usually point directly to the bed. Our room had a step between the bedroom and the bathroom, that made us trip a couple of times. The receptionist, a young woman from Ukraine, was very helpful with directions and tips.

Abbiamo chiesto appena arrivati di cambiare stanza in quanto il bagno era così piccolo che per entrare nella doccia bisognava aprire la porta del bagno,assoluta mancanza di mensole….ci hanno spostati per un aumento di 50€ al giorno in una suite molto particolare ma sempre con mattonelle in bagno spaccate,abbiamo chiesto varie volte di ricaricare il sapone,passiamo alla pessima colazione che ci riservava :cornetti duri,dolci che sembravano fatti con i preparati in busta,disponibilità di soli due succhi di frutta e….non proseguo,insommma altro che 4 stelle da 200€ al giorno!

Great location in the Lesser Town of Prague. This is the classiest part of the city, where some Embassies are based. And just 3 mins still to Charles Bridge. Would recommend avoid the mid summer months as gets too hot. Spring and Autumn best. Hotel is small and well run. Breakfast fine. Very friendly staff. Not noisy at nighttime.

We stayed for 3 nights. The location at the base of the Charles Bridge is convenient for touring. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are charming and fairly large for a European hotel. This is not a "shiny new hotel," but it is clean and a good value. Highly recommend.

I am sitting on our very comfortable bed in our beautiful room, listening to the sounds of the city. This hotel is well-managed, beautiful, and full of thoughtful details. I hope to extend our stay here as it’s my favorite hotel on this European journey. A+

Exceptional location. Close to Prague historic sites and outstanding food options. Breakfast delicious - best of the holiday! All staff helpful and very friendly, particularly the night staff. Beautiful hotel, comfy bed, check in very smooth. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel 4 stelle in pieno centro a due passi dal ponte Carlo, accoglienti le camere con soffitti con travi in legno decorato. Personale gentilissimo e molto disponibile, ottima la colazione con vasta scelta ed abbondante Grazie di tutto e alla prossima ❤️

Nice location. Just a couple of minutes walk from the Charles Bridge and approximately 1/3 mile to cross and enter Old Town. Tram near by but if you like to walk Palace easily doable but there are stairs. Uber convient from airport. Small Grocery, restuarants, McDonalds, ice Cream, right out the door. Reception nice and helpful. Breakfast not a large buffet but nice and good enough to get your day started. Rooms have old charm but are updated. Caution: can be noisy. Side street has a bar underneath, rooms overlooking main street can be loud in to the morning but varies on crowds and individuals. Recommend higher floors and ear plugs.
