Relax Inn

Unfortunately the toilet flush didn't work which spoiled the overall impression. Breakfast was ok but no scrambled eggs

Hangers / hooks for tovels missed in bathroom. Coffee at breakfast could be improved, but there is coffee machine, probably paid, between reception and breakfast room.

You get what you pay for cheap room. Wallpaper falling off. Beds weren't changed or even made daily. Had an overflow bin by day 2 and the maid left our room laughing at 5pm

So, where do we start? There is nothing relaxing about this inn and the best part of our stay was the day we checked out. If I had knowingly booked a 2 star hotel (it is that at most) then I wouldn't have been so utterly disappointed. However, we had booked a 4* hotel which this is most definitely not. Rooms are incredibly dated, and if you were hoping for a romantic get away, then be aware the double beds are actually single, wooden framed beds shoved together. We had no milk or coffee facilities in our room, only fruit tea. The bathroom doors have no locks on them and the keyhole itself stuffed with tissue paper to ensure your privacy. No shampoo to use, only hand soap in a dispenser that didn't work. Fancy some room service? How about a vending machine selling wine bottles instead. Oh, I know! Let's enjoy the spa facilities... nope! This you need to pay extra for and have sole use of, but members of the public can also do the same, so during our stay the pool was constantly used for private swimming lessons. Plus, I refused to pay extra for something that should be included in their 4* pricing. Fancy a hot meal? Eat elsewhere! The breakfast buffet is a health hazard - the eggs were so hard boiled the yolk was green and the egg white had turned greyish/brown, the salami and ham had been reserved several days running (the dried curled edges testament to that). We didn't touch any of it. I honestly don't know how they are rated 4*, my only thought is their lovely barista style coffee machine (for display purposed only) may come out to bribe the inspectors at regular intervals. It is 40 minutes outside of town, next to a noisy and busy railway line and road junction. Take my advice - take your money (and save your sanity) and book elsewhere, unless you truly want a 2* bed and breakfast. It is by far the worst 4* experience we've ever encountered. Prague however - stunning place with SO much to do for grown ups and kids alike. You will love it!
