NH Collection Prague

Very nice hotel, love it.

We have just returned from a weekend stay. The hotel in general is very nice and comfortable. We had bed and breakfast, and the breakfast was nice with a good selection. Hotek is about a 30-40 min walk to Charles Bridge. Some nice restaurants nearby, Masala Indian and Grosseto pizza especially. We had drinks in the Sky Lounge on a couple of evenings which was nice, great views. Just sit and a waiter will serve you drinks. The only downside is the cable car, which is a nice gimmick but only when it works. It wasn't working for a couple of days of our stay. When it was initially out of order, there were no signs of where to go. We just overheard that a shuttle bus would arrive. Very poor communication and when I say bus it is a 7 seater car. There is no queue system, so when it arrives, everyone just pushes to get on. If it's a long queue you just have to wait. No instructions given either if you do want to walk which we were happy to do. After a long day you just want to go to your room and not have to hang around. Once we found our the route using the bus, we decided to walk down one evening. You can do it by exiting on -1 through the wellness area. It takes you through the park, and be warned there are a lot of steps, but if you're fit and able, it is quicker. We also did the walk back up the hill.....much harder though! Frendly staff.

Nice hotel about a 5 minute walk from the metro/tram. Small cable car which takes you up to the hotel which is quite novel. Rooms large with a view over the surrounding park. Roof top bar is pleasant with a nice view, red bar in the hotel at ground level is good for food and drinks at a reasonable cost. Breakfast plentiful with a station that cooks fresh eggs for you on request. Overall a pleasant stay, would recommend.
