The room that I recently stayed in had no remote to the TV. I called the front desk and the girl that was working brought me a LG REMOTE. The TV was a Samsung. It did not work and she could not get the TV to work either. I told her to forget it! Also the water in the shower was so strong that it shot out like a fire hose! I did not enjoy my stay!

Checked in for 2 nights because it was reasonably close to Furman for the Scottish games. Was able to do an early check in. I'm assuming it was the manager who checked us in. Very nice, and like us, talkers. The room (513) was good size. Big walk in shower. Double sinks. Very quiet. Breakfast area was roomy. Great breakfast options. Especially the biscuits and gravy. Auriel wade sure it was well stocked. The property is walking distance to a few restaurants. The pool was great. We were the only ones in there for 2 hours. Totally loved the card to fill out for housekeeping needs. Nice touch. Now the downsides. Shower door would not stay close. The blackening shades didn't completely cover the windows. Lack of towel rods or hooks. USB ports at desk weren't working. I've machine on our floor was broke. Most of that is nit picking. Will definitely stay here next time we're in town.

Some of the staff were nice, the lobby looks good but the room was very dirty. The bathroom was stained and dirty, the room carpet wasn't even vacuumed. There were trash, cigarettes buds and food behind the couch and the bed sheets and cover were dirty with makeup, dirt and some stains that looked like feces.

The property is clean overall and we only interacted with one desk clerk a couple of times. Our issues are with the room and the overall accomodations. There was no bedding in the room for the pull-out sofa bed, so we sent our teen son to the front desk to get some. They were out of pillows. How? No resolution there. In addition, the luggage carts were almost impossible to find and the one we did find was falling apart. The caulking in the shower was very moldy so there's that. Not a great place but we were only there for one night, thankfully.

Wish I could give a review of the hotel’s accommodations. Unfortunately we never made it through the front door. Our reservations for visiting family was abundantly canceled one week before the reserved nights stay. Was informed by hotel staff the hotel is overbooked? My question, why misled the public by saying you have vacantly when you do not. This is not just an oversight. What makes matters worse the reservations were made and paid for six weeks prior. But the choice hotel staff chose to wait only a week before check in to drop this last minute information on us. Choice Hotels and the Comfort Suits in Piedmont will never be my Choice in the future.
