Jetwing Surf & Safari, A Luxury Reserve

Amazing stay, apart from squirrels, bats and lizards entering the room from the cracks in the ceiling. Crows will wake you up at 5-6 AM. Lovely sea view, but is far from town

Living the dream at the Jetwing Surf beach hotel. On the beach with the sounds of waves putting you to sleep every night. The beach is rough and wild though. The beach huts are cozy and comfortable with amazing indoor and outdoor showers. Staff are super helpful, with a special mending to Pawan. The 15 minutes from Arugum Bay scene makes it tranquil. Enjoy and relax!

Our family stayed at Surf and Safari for 3 nights when we visited Sri Lanka on our vacation from 18th to 21st July,2025. Had a great time. Staff was friendly, welcoming and very helpful particularly as we had an accident on the way which made us late for checking in. Sachintha our butler allocated to us looked after us well. Food was exceptional and had a wide variety, including authentic Sri Lankan Cuisine. Azeem the manager, was well versed in the local history, gave us great advice on places of interest to visit in Arugam Bay. We had a great and a memorable stay at the Jet Wing Surf and Safari, Pottuvil and greatly recommend it to anyone looking to experience Sri Lankan hospitality, pristine beaches and surfing on the east coast of this beautiful island of Sri Lanka.

We stayed three nights at Jetwing and it was absolutely amazing. The staff were fantastic and we made use of lots of their free offerings such as sunset bike ride to a river where we saw crocodiles, an early morning yoga session and also a cooking demonstration. The hut rooms are beautiful and very comfy to sleep in. The pool was great and very refreshing. I’ve seen some references to its green colour in other reviews but the pool has green tiles so what do you expect? The breakfast each day was sensational and we also had a couple of dinners and lunches in the restaurant and every time the food was spot on. Azeem the manager always made sure we were looked after and all staff were super friendly and accomodating. Highly recommend!

This was a gorgeous boutique hotel. It was an absolute pleasure staying here. It felt like a hotel that truly appreciated Sri Lankan culture, and so much thought and detail has been put into the architecture of this place. A lot of “top” hotels in Sri Lanka feel jammed into its natural beauty. This hotel compliments it perfectly. The service here is top-tier. Honestly, with Sri Lankan hotels it is difficult to find poor hospitality, but several members here really put an effort to get to know us as a family. Huge shout outs to Suja, Kaushalvya and Faizal (I’m deeply sorry if I’ve spelt your names wrong). Staff also connected us with a nearby surf school, I had so much fun surfing. The meals are great, the chef has mastered all cuisines. I really recommend getting traditional Sri Lankan meals at this hotel. I was saddened to hear that a lot of guests would rather go out to the nearby town and get their meals. The rice at this hotel is homegrown, curries are carefully crafted, so delicious. It’s really tempting to try the town food but if you’re staying at this hotel please have your meals here, you’re more likely going to get food poisoning at one of the nearby cafés and restaurants… trust me on this!
