Motel 6 Pottstown, PA

The good part of review is, the room was clean, updated and bug free. The bad part of review is, this is apparently a homeless shelter. There are people loitering in parking lot at all times of day and night. The outside door was not locked at anytime. The hallway and lobby smelled of pot. We did not feel safe staying in this motel.

Do not recommend! Well first off the location is a little creepy as in the back of an industrial park but when I entered the staff was extremely friendly and were nice about me switching to a different room. The room presented as very clean and well take care of. So all was well until it became nightime. Things began to look different there were people activity using ***** . People nodding out from opioids in the lobby and it wreaked of **** and cigarettes. I soon realized that I was the only person that was not “living” there or placed there due to homelessness. I stayed as I was in town for an event but checkout a day early. The beds were comfortable but the lack of safety was too much. As I was leaving there was an argument starting in the lobby as guests were reported their rooms getting robbed and money stolen.

If I could give it a lower review I would! The fire alarm was set off not ONCE but TWICE! at 3am and again at 5am, apparently there is a fault fan at the front desk.very disappointed and irked. At this point im afraid to even go back to bed in fear of the fire alarm going off again

I normally have good experiences at Motel 6. This was not one of them. Lots of homeless around. The halls were full of cigarette smoke and were dirty. The trash can by the elevator was not emptied. The key on my door did not work, and they could not unlock it. I had to wait for maintenance to unlock it. This happened twice. The second time, I was completely locked out without being able to get to my possessions that were in the room. That morning, the manager took a long to to unlock my door. The manager did not give me any kind of refund.
