Convenient location near the town & easy to get on & off of freeway. Clean. Some updated remodeling done, but satisfactory. One 1 set of laundry washer/dryer (coins only). Electronics outdated (old remote to tv, minimal channels, no USB outlets, small clock only on microwave).

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night and enjoyed my stay. This hotel is in a great location close to I 95, US 1, downtown Portsmouth, Rye Beach, Kittery, and lots of retail stores and restaurants. Includes buffet breakfast which was nice and the service was very good. Our Room was clean and WiFi worked great. The TV and A/C worked fine but not sure why the room still felt a little humid. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

A little overpriced given it's closeness to I-95 but we had a decent stay. Staff was courteous and facility/rooms were clean. It is a fairly short drive to reach the downtown historic district which has a variety of shops and restaurants. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

When we stop at a hotel off a major road, it’s usually just to catch a night of sleep. The HVAC in this room was unbelievably loud, like a plane was taking iff each time it turned on, we had to turn it off and sleep in a warm room. Although the weather was nice and cool, the windows could not open, not even a crack. We knew the hotel was under construction, but all i see was new numbers on the doors. Bathroom could use some renovation or cleaning. The bed was fine but could use some new sheets and comforter.

Wonderful 10-day stay under less than wonderful personal circumstances. Nothing was beyond their willingness to do. Unusually genuine and helpful staff…everyone was so accommodating. Nice breakfast, too. Out of the way of busy traffic, by a half mile…wonderful location. Thank you to each of you for your kindness during our stay.

I organized an anniversary night stay at this hotel for my friend's wedding anniversary. I narrowed down this hotel by the hotel choices based off the pictures shown on their website. My friends were highly disappointed in this experience, alot of false advertising on their website. I reserved them a hotel suite, that appeared very large and roomy on the site priced at $367 a night. In actual reality the room was so small and nothing at all like it appears online. Very disappointed, it was meant to be pleasant day and night. Sadly ot wasn't.

Room was standard Fairfield Inn room, but the room seemed to be in very good shape and recent renovated. The room has one flaw which is electrical outlets. There were not enough outlets near the bed and one of those precious outlets had a plug in carbon monoxide detector ( seemed weird for a hotel ). There was one small blemish, the cabinet that held the fridge in our room had the wrap ripped off. It didn't look great, but didn't affect anything. The desk/room chair were good. TV was fine. Housekeeping ( Make sure that the bottles in the shower are filled!!!!!! ). This is one of the things I hate about Marriott new approach to keeping bottles in the showers. In my last six Marriott stays, the bottles have been empty twice. A 33% failure rate is way too high. It's really annoying to be taking a shower and then realize there is no conditioner. Housekeeping fail as far as I'm concerned to not notice this. This is something that supervisors need to be checking. I understand the rationale behind the new policies/processes, but if customers are going to be left in showers without products, the policy/approach needs to be rethought. Front desk: Shout out to Marisa who was on the front desk. She was very efficient with checkin. She found some conditioner bottles after we found out there was non in our shower. She also helped me with a lost key. She was helpful, and did what she could to make me the customer satisfied. She was pleasant and did her job well. The room's internet was horrible ( and I was using the "Enhanced" internet ) as a lifetime platinum member. It was not capable of streaming and our show was constantly pausing to buffer. Welcome bag for platinum members was nice touch, especially the full-size bottle of water. Overall, would I return, yes, but are there annoying items that need to be resolved, yes.

Check your room before unpacking - Upon check in, we discovered one of our towels had a very large stain, our room's window was open, the shower was not properly cleaned (cloudy glass, stray hairs) and the hairdryer literally burned pieces of my hair off. Upon check out, these concerns were shared with the front desk supervisor. Her only response, without making eye contact was that there is a cooler setting on the hairdryer. I said that I realized this and this was the setting I was using. She said nothing more and we left. We shared the towel disappointment with our check in attendent but never heard another word about it (she was very nice and appeared appalled). Positives - our king bed was nice and fairly comforatble, breakfast was the usual continental choices and the pool looked nice. The rooms did not have USB outlets but it was nice to see the remote in a sanitized plastic bag. We will be travelling to that area several more times and will choose to find a different place based on the total lack of customer service. For over $200 a night, and a Bonvoy member, we expected more.

To provide some context, I was traveling to Portsmouth for work in early August right after there was an extended heat wave on the east coast. That said, this hotel did not hold up to it well at all. The first room I stayed in stank so badly of mold that I had to sleep with the sheets over my head to try to get away from it. I would have asked to switch rooms but I had already checked in late that evening after traveling all day. The next day, I asked to be moved to a different room. The person at the front desk was courteous and helped to get me into a different room. When we opened the door, however, I got the same moldy smell as in my first room. I asked if there was a third vacant room I could just poke my head into to see if the mold smell had permeated the hotel, and yup, it did. I decided to move my stuff into the second room I tried out that next morning because I had to go into work. When I came back to the room, though, I noticed mold colonies growing out of the back of the desk chair (pics attached). I finally asked if they could move me to a different property after showing them the chair, and they said the best they could do was move the chair out of the room. I called corporate on this one even, and they were as unhelpful as any corporate customer service I've dealt with. All in, this is why I prefer staying at Hyatts and will never go all in on the Marriott rewards program. The only reason I gave 2 stars for this review was that the hotel staff were very courteous.
