The accommodation impresses with its central location, beautiful views, and cozy decor. Guests appreciate the attentive staff but express disappointment with limited breakfast options and late opening times.

The heating did not work. First we froze and then it became too warm...there was no control. The room was tiny and quite unsuitable for a couple. The bathroom fittings were too small and everything was loose and coming off the wall.

The room was in need of some love as far as decoration goes. The main lampshade was a large 'white' feather arrangement which looked filthy, had cobweb coming off it.The bed was fairly comfortable & bedding was clean. The bathroom was fairly clean although the area between the shower & basin looked dirty. The TV didn't have reception. Unable to rate staff as we saw no-one, entering & leaving via key safe.

Anniversary stay, had a lovely time big shout out to Chelsea who was so attentive, when she found out it was our anniversary promptly brought us up an ice bucket with bottle of Prosecco which was so sweet of her and gave great service during meal, pretty and clean room with really high ceiling which I love, comfy bed, great views from front to old portsmouth, highly recommend :-)

We loved our room when we arrived, despite the disco sounds from the kitchen underneath. They stopped by about 8.30pm thankfully and we had a reasonable night sleep in a comfy bed. We came back to our hotel next day at 8pm after a day out, having been informed in previous messages that the restaurant closed at 9pm, and it seemed a party was underway. We were shooed away by a party guest who said we couldn't come in so I approached the barman who went to talk to someone in the kitchen and he was very apologetic on return but apparently we weren't allowed in the bar. Dan was very helpful but couldn't make up for the lack of interest and poor comms of management. I'm disabled, was tired and wanted to eat there but we had to walk around and find another restaurant. We chose the hotel becayse we could eat there on Saturday night, so this was really annoying. When we returned at about 10.30pm the party was in full swing and some of the guests were enjoying the courtyard under our bedroom until about midnight. It was. very loud in our room. The party was supposed to finish at 11.30pm but we didn't grt to sleep till 1am due to the noise. We were tgen woken at 8.30am by the radio on full blast under our bed. It seems the Executuve Suite is above the kitchen and kitchen staff don't seem to think this warrants consideration. The bottle being binned below the window was a bit much too. We left early than we had planned, feeling tired, mistreated and annoyed. I sent two messages to the hotel complaining about paying £128 for a night in a room where sleep was rationed and being misled about restaurant and bar facilities, but they haven't bothered to respond, which says more about the establishment than the other issues. Communication over the party/restaurant closure and my justifiable complaint, would have made a huge difference but clearly they don't care about customers or customer service.

I was looking forward to showing Old Portsmouth to my friend and was so disappointed by this stay. Firstly they said there were 2 beds in the room, but there was a double bed which had seen better day, creeked as soon as you looked at it and got poked by the springs and then there was a sofa bed which was even worse and stained. The room was dirty, the heating wasn’t on and we froze. As a result I have got a cough. This was a complete rip off for £120 (which didn’t include breakfast) for the executive suite. We complained and received breakfast at The Chambers which was good. The staff on site were doing their best but management refused to talk to us. Please don’t stay here, it’s a joke. Run away!

We had dinner in the wellington pub, old Portsmouth. Katie was AMAZING! She went above and beyond to ensure we had a fabulous meal and were catered for at every step. The food was quick and sooooo good! Can’t wait to come back again! Fabulous Sunday hang out.
