First and foremost, it's a very good Bed and Breakfast. The bed is large and comfortable, the breakfast is superb, I truly believe Stuart could deliver any breakfast request on the planet such is the array of goodies at his disposal. What makes it "Just brilliant" are the extras provided in their home, the added touches in the rooms and bathroom and the wealth of information that is forthcoming if you ask for guidance on where to go, how to avoid the crowds, sneaky places to park and hidden gems that no one outside Skye knows about. Book early or miss out.

There are only 3 rooms in this B and B, two upstairs for couples and one small room downstairs for a single person. The single was very small and the bathroom, though private, is down the hall, but since the place is so small, it was totally fine. The upstairs rooms are very spacious and have ensuite bathrooms. The shower was excellent with lots of hot water, unlike a lot of places we’ve found in Scotland. The whole place is spotless and there is in-room coffee, tea and cookies! There is a refrigerator, freezer and microwave at the top of the stairs that can be used by guests. The breakfast is fabulous, cooked to order, along with extensive choices of fruit, cereal, breads, jams, coffee and teas. Stuart and William are great hosts and very friendly. Stuart made our whole visit extra special by getting us an impossible-to-get-at- the-last-minute table for our anniversary at the Cuillin Hills Hotel, which is wonderful with a beautiful view of the harbor and has parking! My husband had a sprained ankle and wasn’t able to walk much and very few places on Skye have onsite parking. Thanks again Stuart! We highly recommend this gem but book early!

Absolutely brilliant stay. Very comfortable room. Excellent choice of breakfast. Stuart could not do enough for me. He advised on places to visit, places to eat and general information about the island. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Will definitely revisit.

Amazingly comfortable and well presented B&B. Fabulously comfortable bed, well presented and tastefully decorated room, and the breakfast was superb, and catered more than adequately for gluten free diet too. Stuart was charming, knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you. Happy to recommend.

Stuart and Will are excellent hosts, very accommodating. The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean, the furnishings complete. And the breakfast provided a large number of delicious choices for any taste. I highly recommend their B&B.

There are not enough adjectives to describe this place. I think it was my favorite in our three week travel across Europe. The host, Stuart, was friendly and had an eye for detail. Our room was upstairs, no lift, this is a true B & B. You are sleeping in a bedroom with an attached bathroom in someone's home. Our room had everything we needed. We stayed two nights. Our room was serviced and new towels were supplied. I loved the sheep skin rug on the floor. The television had good channels. The breakfast was amazing. Stuart has you fill out a menu the night before and prepares your food just as you ordered. The breakfast room was well stocked with so many options as well as the "cooked" breakfast you are served. We enjoyed talking to the other guest and the host each morning.

This B&B is not as advertised! The tiny room up steep, narrow, dirty stairs, was cramped and stuffy. The bed linens were definitely not the crisp white ones you would expect. The house itself looked cluttered and not very welcoming. The decor upstairs had a huge wallpaper mural with a metallic horse above the bed. It was horrible! The owner, who was covered in horsehair, was rude when we told him that we would not be comfortable staying there. He told my husband and I that we could go f**k ourselves. We booked through *******, and they were not successful in communicating with the owner to approve a refund for two out of the three nights we stayed in Portree. Mind you, there was a huge influx of tourists, so I’m sure the owner was able to easily rebook the room, so he made out like a bandit! Fortunately, through a friend, we were able to book two nights at a beautiful B&B just 15 minutes outside of Portree.

A lovely three bedroom B&B situated just outside Portree. There was plenty of space in the room and it was very clean. As others have mentioned, the breakfast was delicious. This B&B is an excellent base to explore Isle of Skye

This place was an absolute gem! The host, Stu, was incredibly helpful and happy to give lots of recommendations. I travelled solo and got the downstairs room to myself with exclusive use of the downstairs bathroom. The walk into the main area of Portree is about 15 or so minutes, which isn't bad at all. Very reasonably priced, and the host really went the extra mile to make everyone feel accommodated. I enjoyed my English breakfast on day 1 and my porridge on day 2. HIGHLY recommend booking here if you're going to Skye!! :)
