One of best meals ever had! Large portions, reasonably priced, good value. 100% freshly homemade. Batter perfect on cod. The lager was fresh and crisp. Great service and made welcome. Highly recommend. Nice relaxed atomsphere. Will definetly be back!

Yes the bedroom was small, but don’t let that put you off. I made a minor hiccup which meant we had to stay in the Portpatrick hotel. The waterfront was excellent compared to our 1 night stay there. Reasons for this 1. The staff, they couldn’t do enough for us from the minute we realised my mistake. They were friendly and helpful, going above and beyond what they needed to 2. Breakfast was cooked to order and was amazing especially the haggis. You can even build your own breakfast and increase the size. Was one of the best breakfast I’ve ever had 3. Clean and excellent location This hotel definitely rates 5 stars

Decided to try a lunch at The Waterfront as we'd enjoyed an afternoon drink there the day before with beautiful views of the bay. We ordered a very simple lunch of prawn wraps and then sat outside with a drink. After half an hour my husband checked with the bar as we were still waiting on our order and it wasn't busy. We were told it would be ready shortly. After another 15 minutes the waitress came to tell us they had no prawns. Good stuff. We got a refund and went nextdoor to The Crown where we had outstanding mussels served within 15 minutes. Well worth paying a little more for outstanding food and professional service.

Best thing about our 1 night stay was the sea view. Amazing. Couldve sat and looked out at it all day. We had room 2. Room was pleasant enough but the bathroom was very small. The electricity was of when we got to our room but maintenance quickly fixed it. Breakfast was amazing. Very enjoyable

Nice harbour front hotel. Quiet, clean and tidy. Room 8 a little snug especially the shower room and could do with some small repairs here and there, which they seen to be working on. Friendly and attentive member of staff at breakfast, food was good.

Loved the location! Our room had a view overlooking the harbor. Some remodeling going on but did not disturb our experience.
