Apartamentos the Arc Carrís

The apartments are located 2 minutes from the river which has lots of cafes and places to eat. There is a lot of traffic but the flat has good noise insulation There are a range of apartments in the block which is opposite the hotel. We had a 2 bed which had a large and a small double room. The bed was very comfortable. The living area was a good size with a sofa bed a table for 6 . A separate kitchen area had a microwave and 2 electric rings. The main problem was the tv, it was 32 inches and NO smart function. You cannot access Netflix or cast any content. For an apartment of this grade that is uncceptable.

I highly recommend staying at the Apartamentos The Arc Carris when you are in Porto. Beautiful modern room, kitchen and bathroom. A large deck with table and chairs overlooks the street. One block away from the river. A unique feature is the entrance. It takes you through a large one way window. Very Alice in Wonderland like. I was staying there alone and felt incredibly safe.

Overall, the apartment itself was great for a family or a traveling party of more than three people. It was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. However, I was very disappointed with the quality of sleep and the level of service I received. Specifically, the air conditioning in our apartment was out of order for the entire duration of our five-night stay. Despite following up with the front desk five times within the first three days, the issue was never resolved. After that point, we gave up on further requests. The lack of air conditioning significantly impacted the quality of our sleep throughout our stay. Keeping the windows open to try to cool the room resulted in excessive noise from the very busy streets below, making it difficult to sleep. Conversely, keeping the windows closed led to a hot and uncomfortable room overnight. The fan that was provided did not offer sufficient relief. What was particularly surprising was the inconsistent and unhelpful responses from the front desk staff. Each time we inquired about the air conditioning, it was treated as a new issue. The common responses were "we'll send someone to check" or assurances that it would be fixed the following day. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was never repaired. Upon requesting for compensation for our stay, The front desk nor the revenue management responded to our request.
