Excellent location for sculpture park. Wonderful views from bar/restaurant. Staff overall pleasant and helpful.
Room (standard double) fine - clean and spacious, with a nice seating area. Bathroom dated but clean and functional.
Breakfast porridge was very good, rest of breakfast just OK.
The food (pizza and halloumi hash burger) served in the bar on the first night was mediocre and put us off eating there on our second night.

Heights hotel is a beautiful spot in Portland, nice location and perfect scenery, not very far from the sea,hotel is nice but shame we had to stay in twin room would have been a perfect stay if we could have double bed

Hotel is in a prime position with excellent views over the bay & the sunsets are amazing. However, standards have dropped from previous years. We were given a card at check-in that didn’t work when we got to the door, went back to reception & they re-programmed it. We then found it was a card to somebody else’s room. We went to the restaurant and because they had ran out of one of the items , instead of just informing us our plates came out with approx 3 other items on all mixed together. The staff in general were not as professional and efficient as previous years. Not major things, but they all add up and this changes your impression of the hotel.

A large hotel from the outside with good car park and views to die for. The reception was large and modern but sole less. It was a Sunday and having travelled a long way we were hoping to have a short rest and freshen up and go for dinner at around 7:30pm. But the young lady on reception said there was only a carvery on a Sunday and the restaurant closed at 7pm. This is July and holiday season and I couldn’t believe there was no real restaurant for dinner. We looked on line for another restaurant in walking distance but nothing was open on Sunday evening. All in all it did us a favour as we drove into Weymouth and had a really lovely meal at Rockfish. Weymouth would have been a better choice to stay in had we known about the restaurant. The room was quite large but there was a smell that I found quite unpleasant and were glad we were only staying for one night. Breakfast the following morning was ok but it finished at 9am a little early for a holiday visit.

The hotel maybe 3* but the location and staff made it a 5* experience. The rooms, whilst dated, were clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring the island. Breakfast was amazing. Staff were just so helpful, friendly and lovely

The location, views are spectacular. Food was very good, with breakfast included which we had the unlimited buffet. Denise the reception manager deserves a major shout out for being so welcoming and informative. Let down a little by price and decor could do with a refresh but thats being picky.
