This is my 4th stay at The Press Hotel. Up until this visit I would give it a 5 star review. When we checked in, we were told we were upgraded to a corner room. While it was a well appointed room, it was so tiny that the two of us could barely get around each other. Netflix wouldn’t load. The front desk said they would send an engineer up. When an engineer didn’t come within an hour we called again. Another promise and no engineer and no courtesy call to let us know one was not coming. We asked to be moved to a room with a working TV but no rooms were available. We were in that room for 2 nights and then moved to another corner room on the opposite side of the building. That room was larger and had a working TV, however there were no drawers to put clothes in and no chairs to sit in other than 1 desk chair. You had to sit on the bed if both of you wanted to watch TV. The room and bathroom were quite roomy yet the bathroom sink counter barely held a toothbrush. I had to move the hotel stuff to the floor and the only place all of my toiletries could go were on top of the desk. There was plenty of room for chairs or a dresser and for a longer sink or even a cart in the bathroom. On top of this the glass bathroom doors in both bath rooms let so much light in at night that it was a bit hard to get to sleep. On top of this, the breakfast we ordered our first morning took forever to get. I had to actually grab our coffee off a tray the waitress put down so she could take another order. Last night, the popcorn I ordered at the bar was greasy and obviously the bottom of the bowl as the serving was small and old looking. I was charged the same price as the big, fresh popcorn bowl I ordered the day before. Needless to say, at $800+ a night, this was definitely a disappointing stay. I am not sure I will stay here again. Avoid rooms #202 and #323. They are not in any way worth the price.
