Worst night's sleep in a hotel...or for that matter, any red eye flight. The air conditioning unit cycled on-off-on again every 10 minutes, and the noise of the compressor and fan turning on and off woke me time and again. You would think the first order of business would be a quiet room and restful night.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and have had good stays. Basic hotel with reasonable prices. However this stay was absolutely unacceptable. The grab bar in the tub/shower was loose and I am not sure it would have held if I needed it. (We are seniors). The faucet fell off because of a missing screw. We reported both problems at 9am and when we returned at 8pm neither problem was addressed. But the worst problem occurred when we returned to the hotel at 8pm and there were no available parking spaces in their lot. I went to the front desk and asked what I could do. The front desk clerk was actually annoyed that I was bothering him. He actually said it was out of his control and there was nothing he could do. This hotel has about 150 rooms and the lot has at least twice as many spaces. It was obvious that many spaces were occupied by non guests. I cannot imagine a hotel that offers free parking to its guests and can take my money for a room and then say that it is not their problem that I cannot park. And this clerk could not even say “I’m sorry.” I parked in an area not designated as a parking space and worried about the car all nite. Staff needs training in customer service.

That’s always a bit of a letdown—starting off with high expectations only to be met with frustrating little inconveniences. A hotel that looks nice on the outside but doesn’t deliver where it matters most can really put a dent in the experience. Those loose plug-ins sound especially annoying! And water pressure? That can make or break a stay. Wear flip flops in your room

I called ahead to confirm amenities, checked the website for pool hours, and booked. After my daughter’s cheer comp was canceled, we arrived excited—only to find the pool closed at 8 PM with no notice. A lobby full of upset guests got the same response: “Not our problem, it’s been this way for months.” Totally disappointing, especially after confirming beforehand.
