Disappointing really disappointing, we had 3 roasts today & 2 kids nuggets, it was really underwhelming, far to much gravy it was swimming & far to thin. Gravy has to be thicker. Yorkshire pudding dry & stale, for £18-£20 or pre roast should be a lot better then what we had! We ordered 2 baked cheesecake & chocolate brownie, 4 minutes later got told they sold out of the cheesecake, but no one passed it on to the waiting staff. as for dessert well £9 each over priced for a brought in dessert really disappointed these should be homemade! Really poor. I don’t mine spending money on good food but £9 for a shop bought dessert is over the top, over all the bill is as £188 for 2 adults & 3 kids, far to much for the quality of food we had.

I have visited this pub for many years but not since the refurb. Very disappointing x2 nachos £20 and processed cheese spread like an oil slick. £6.50 a pint no wonder no locals in either. Staff looked fed up and unmotivated. The main lady didn't help talking about rentokill visiting when I was in the restaurant. Go to the blue bar where you will be welcomed. Wont be back and I guess by next winter it will be closed...

I recently dined at this restaurant whilst on holiday and while the service upon arrival was prompt, the wait time for our food was quite lengthy, taking around 45-60 minutes. Although the food was good, I found the pricing to be a bit on the high side and not quite worth the value. To add to this, the restaurant attempted to add a substantial service charge for what I would consider average service. Overall, my experience at this restaurant was mixed. While the food was decent and the service was just adequate, I was disappointed with the wait time for the food and the pricing. I would recommend exploring other dining options in the area if you're looking for a better value and exceptional service.
