I was honestly contemplating keeping this secret and not writing a review for this incredible resort, simply because I'm worried about increasing competition for future reservations! CRC never disappoints. I have been coming here since I was four years old and continue the tradition now, in my sixties. Speaking to other guests, you quickly realize that this annual pilgrimage is shared by almost everyone—a testament to its enduring appeal. What sets CRC apart is its ability to evolve: it has been able to update and improve the property while never losing its original soul and charm. This is a truly remarkable feat at a time when most luxury resorts are indistinguishable from one another. The minute you walk through those lovely yellow doors, the warmth of the kindest staff welcomes you, and the relaxation immediately begins. This place is unique; it is like a second home to its dedicated repeat guests. The true heart of this paradise is the CRC family. To the O'Hara family, Nigel, and every member of the staff who makes this resort so special, thank you for everything.

We loved our first stay at Coral Reef Club so much that we came back here two years later to get married! We stayed for three weeks and every day was a dream. Wedding aside, the hotel really is our favourite place in the world - coming back down the tree-lined driveway brings a tear to the eye as it really does feel like arriving home. The tropical gardens are perfect and admiring the sunset on the beach or from your balcony is like something out of a dream. Special details we love are welcome drinks on arrival - to be enjoyed in your room or at the bar with the waves crashing around you - and all the little animals to be spotted around the place - from crabs and lizards to monkeys and green parrots - but what really makes the hotel special is the staff. They are beyond welcoming and bubbly and do everything to make your trip extra special. Carlos and Sheldon are unforgettable friendly faces at the beach! What is also unique to the hotel is how friendly the guests are - both times we have stayed we have made friends who we keep in touch with; I see reviews complaining about an "older clientele", but we are in our 20s and 30s and don't find this a bad thing! Regarding our wedding, the hotel could not have made the whole experience more special. Being willing to accommodate our group of 30 for the week was hugely appreciated and, thanks to Keisha, the whole thing was seamless. She made the whole planning experience so relaxing and was there to deal with every worry and request. Every little detail was so thoughtful, from offering to design and print menus and place cards to sorting super special rooms for my husband and I to get ready in with our respective groups. We had the time of our lives as did all our friends and family! As a final and extra special treat, Mark upgraded us to the Canefield plantation suite for the remainder of our stay - we have never stayed in a room like it and dream of staying there again in years to come. We love the hotel beyond words and we cannot wait to come back soon with a new little member of our family :) thank you so much everyone at Coral Reef <3

Coral reef is a fantastic hotel. The staff are incredible and attentive, the grounds are stunning and the food and drinks were all delicious. We loved every minute of our honeymoon. I’d read reviews that the hotel seems tired and it was mainly older couples. We found this wasn’t the case. Having stayed at other hotels in Barbados, this is by far the best and most the guests were families with teenagers. There was a nice range of guests. The beach is lovely but get there early to get the best spot (I think this is the case with all Barbados hotels). There’s also a cocktail party on Monday evenings which was lovely! Thanks to the whole team for a wonderful stay!

Really excellent from start to finish. Staff, Management, Room, Restaurant, Ambience & Aesthetic and Location all 10/10. Such a professionally run and beautiful hotel. We spent a week with our two teenagers who loved it as much as us. Hotel organised excellent surfing and catamaran excursions and we had some lovely dinners nearby. Certainly the best service we’ve experienced in the Caribbean. We’ll be back.

Thank you Coral Reef for the most amazing family holiday. This is our 6th stay here, but Mum and Dad have been coming here for many many years and I have to say there is no where else we would choose to stay in Barbados. This beautiful family run hotel has a great selection of bedrooms, the most stunning grounds to walk around, with 2 lovely swimming pools and a lovely long stretch of beach. Our kids aged 10, 18 and 20 loved the watersports and sailing available together with the paddleboards and kayaks. A great area to snorkel too, we especially enjoyed the trip to the Turtles which you can do with High Tide. The breakfast is delicious and the dining in the evening is exceptional. Great location and a nice walk to Holetown. I could not name every member of the team individually as they were all outstanding and eager to deliver high standards, from the reservation to the arrival at Reception, to the gardeners and cleaners, the chefs, bar team, everyone was so friendly. A very special mention to Diane in reservations for all her help organising our accommodation, Nigel who we have known for years, Shelly and David who looked after us at breakfast, the fabulous Carlos who always had a smile on his face and looked after us on the beach, Lenny for just being the best and all his positive encouragement on the ski's, together with all the watersports team and of course to The O'Hara Family, so welcoming and friendly as always. Always sad to leave but already looking forward to returning. I would highly recommend this wonderful hotel to all ages, our family ranged from age 10 to age 85 and we loved every moment of our holiday, so many laughs and lovely memories to treasure forever. Until next time Coral Reef xx

We have visited Barbados many times and stayed at 7 different hotel during our time there. This has been our favourite and we have booked to return this year for 9 nights. We usually do a split stay on the island. choosing to holiday on different sides but this year we have only booked to stay here , so that speaks volumes in itself. The hotel lends itself towards an older demographic of clientele seeking a tranquil refined ambience , without any pomp and ceremony. This suits us as we are in our 50’s and we found most of the guests were in their 50’s through to their 80’s. Many of these were repeat guests . These are the reasons we are returning - Service levels were outstanding ; all the staff made us feel very welcome and looked after wherever we were in the resort. The quality of the food ; both the produce and presentation were outstanding . It was consistently good every night which is a rare find. The ambience and luxury; the rooms were luxurious and everything was clean and kept beautiful. You can turn right out of the hotel and walk into Holetown within 10 minutes. We visited the Limegrove centre and purchased some clothes and a piece of artwork in the gallery painted by a local artist. We ate out a couple of times , but as previously said by others there is no need to as the food in the hotel is difficult to beat. I have already emailed the hotel and booked to attend the Pilates during my stay , along with requesting a TV for our bedroom. I had my hair done by the hairdresser near the hotel at the entrance and she was very good indeed.

We have stayed in 7 of the hotels on the island and this has been our favourite. More suited to older clientele which suite us being in our 50’s. This is tranquil , relaxing and upmarket. Very high level of repeat clientele . Outstanding service and staff. Not for large groups of people . Rooms are beautiful and colonial . Predominately older couples which have been coming here for years. We have booked to return this November and hope to revisit yearly. Food was consistently good every evening . Some themed buffet nights which we loved. Other formal evenings which we enjoyed. Walked into holetown a couple of evenings and attended the st James parish church for Sunday service.
