We were in town for a funeral for 1 night. We have stayed at this Super 8 before but never again. When we arrived it was late. The trash cans outside were beyond needing emptied. Hotel has a smell. Hallway was needing a good vacuuming. Room was reasonably clean. Curtains looked like they had been balled up for a few days and then hung up all wrinkled. On to breakfast the next morning….once again the trash in dining area was beyond needing emptied. At just a little after breakfast had start there was hardly anything to eat. Coffee was basically empty and didn’t seem like it was going to be refilled anytime soon. Not sure why they even advertise breakfast because it was a very poor excuse for that. Not sure if it is locally owned and operated but hopefully if it is there will be some huge improvements made to this hotel. The night we stayed the parking lot was almost empty so it seemed like there were nobody staying there. Not sure what the deal was. We used to stay there every time we came to Portales years and years ago when vacationing with our kids and it was a great place to stay. But sadly enough we stayed our last time there.
