Wunderbares Resort, entspannte Atmosphäre, leckeres Essen, guter Wein ... nichts drumherum, man kann hier wirkliche die Ruhe genießen. Wunderbare Ausblicke von der Terasse. Und der Sonnenuntergang .... ich würde hier jederzeit wieder übernachten!

I rode the QCT in 3 days, and Portage was my second night in the track. The staff and food were excellent. They offer a morning shuttle for hikers to eliminate the 750m climb back to the track but DO NOT off er the same for cyclists. It’s a heck of a way to start the most difficult day of the track.

The staff were truly fantastic—warm, welcoming, and always helpful. Unfortunately, the room didn’t match the same standard. It was clean but very basic, with no TV, no air conditioning, and minimal amenities. 2 large beds instead of a sitting area, in the Korimako sunroom which was advertised as being for 2 guests! Why would anyone need sleeping for 4 in a double occupancy room.. This is not a place for anyone seeking a luxury escape—especially given the price point. The setting is beautiful, and the service is lovely, but the experience overall doesn’t justify the cost.
