Super 8 by Wyndham Portage

I definitely liked how comfortable the room was. The A/C worked great. Their were some crumbs on the floor on the second bed, and also I would have loved more towels and bigger shampoo bottles, but overall it was great. I definitely loved the ease of access to a lot of things too.

Clean friendly staff and nice atmosphere all together will definitely be back

It got the job done of providing a good night sleep during my trip back to Chicago. There is a lot of decent food options nearby including Kwik Trip gas station. There isn't much more to say so I'm just going to keep typing until I reach the min character. Done...

the exterior, the indoor public areas and the rooms were not well kept up or clean; we will never stay there again; the photos on the internet are very deceiving; the breakfast is a waste

One of the worst places in Portage. I was advised not to book here but it was my closest and most cost effective option. Staff were fine upon entry however I was booked into a 1st floor room that had a broken screen and the window would not stay shut. I tried for 45+ minutes to realign it to stay shut and after that went to the front desk to ask for a different room. The staff instead asked to see it for themselves and came to the room and "fixed" it, via the same method I was trying. After a few minutes, he said it was fine and left the room. Less than an hour later, the window popped back open and I requested a different room. I asked for 1st floor since there is NO ELEVATOR - and I have several pieces of luggage. They instead booked me in the very last room on the 2nd floor. I asked for a 1st floor or something closer and they told me it was all they had. I then called customer service and was told there are actually 13 open rooms here with 3 of them on the 1st floor. The staff weren't honest and choose to make my stay difficult. Did not offer to help me carry bags or offer any sort of refund even tho I was going from a king to queen. I would NEVER recommend Super 8 and especially this one.

We had reservations for this weekend. Upon arrival, there was signage that the fire alarms and sprinkler system is not working. We were able to cancel without charge. However, this should have been communicated in advance. I don’t know how this is legal to occupy. Definitely not comfortable staying in a hotel without working smoke detectors.

Stopped for the night at this location as family was traveling through the area during the holidays. While location had a number of other guests staying that night as well, there was plenty of parking available outside. Front desk staff were busy handling various matters, but they were quick to assist us when we arrived. They were polite, friendly, and helpful with getting us situated. Room was fairly basic, but it was clean and covered our needs. It did have a microwave and refrigerator for handling food/meals, and there was a television with a decent assortment of channels. Room also had a table, chair, and free WiFi access, which was useful for getting some work done that evening. Breakfast was also available in the morning. Breakfast was also fairly basic, but it was available and provided some sustenance before having to head back out onto the road.

Front staff was courteous. Room was clean. Price was good. The hvac unit was incredibly loud. Exterior looked run down. Missing lock on the front door. Large tick in the bed. Bed linens had super strong smell of bleach.

Extremely accommodating meet all are needs and every question we asked was answered respectfully the beds were very comfortable we slept well no noises easy parking plenty of spaces and we liked that it was pet friendly
