My wife and I booked the hotel on line, a few hours before our arrival. However, a forest fire in Washington State closed the only highway to Port Townsend and we had to sleep elsewhere. We called the hotel to explain our situation and they refused to refund our money. Period! The next morning, the highway opened and we drove to the hotel to collect our money! They refused again; no reason. '"Policy" they said. What we did learn was that the place has photo shopped a lot of pictures of the hotel that they post on line. The place is a dump and it stunk of chlorine, we saw dirty hallways and it's located a half hour from downtown. Not in a great part of town! Do yourself a favor and stay downtown, several very cool places to stay.

If you’re not looking for a bunch of high end amenities, but you want to be located on the water (or even want to have some great views), this is the best spot in Port Townsend. I was upgraded to a waterfront view and I couldn’t have been happier: Terrific views of sailboats moored out on the bay as well as a location in a quiet part of town made this hotel perfect for me. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Recommended.

This is a modest motel, but it was very clean and had everything we needed! I think it should rate as a 3-star property rather than a 2-star on this site. The staff members were friendly, and the room was comfortable and had a great view. I would gladly stay here again!
