Due to a lack of experience, I booked Hampton Apartments upon seeing that the distance to the cruise terminal was only about 600 meters. I thought on the last day of the cruise travel that I could simply push my luggage cases and walk a short distance to check in.
Hampton Apartments had been in contact with me via email before my stay, and there were no communication issues. When I learned that the check-in day was a Sunday and that there were no staff available, I immediately emailed to inquire about the possibility of early check-in (by additional payment) or luggage storage. I received a reply stating that early check-in could not be arranged, but they provided a location for paid luggage storage, and the nearest location was 3 kilometers away!
I had to pay extra for round-trip transportation to the luggage storage location and wasted both time and money.
The location of Hampton Apartments was good, and taking the elevator to the rooftop for a view of the scenery and beach was quite nice. The unit was spacious. I knew before booking that it did not have a view, but the indoor facilities were quite old.
The worst part was the hygiene; one of the bath towels had what appeared like blood stain (could not be fully removed, I guess). It was very disgusting! The dish plates and cutleries were dirty. The toaster was broken, the coffee machine did not stop automatically, and the air conditioning remote was dirty and sticky.
I immediately took photos of the bath towel and emailed other unsatisfactory conditions to Hampton Apartments, hoping they would follow up quickly to prevent the next guest from encountering the same situation.
After receiving my email, Hampton Apartments called and apologized via email and followed up.
Overall, I should have chosen to stay in a hotel in the city centre!
