The Slipway B&B is a Grade II listed building that dates back to 1527 and is located opposite Port Isaac harbor. It features adults-only B&B accommodations with Restaurant & Bar on the ground floor with an outdoor terrace.
All of the bedrooms have small private bathrooms and some have panoramic sea views of Port Isaac harbor. Two rooms feature village views. The loft suite features a king-size bed and a small living area and a bathroom with a bath.
The Restaurant specializes in local seafood has also a selection of non-seafood, vegetarian options are available and variety of drinks. It also serves Cornish cream teas and a range of scones, cakes and sandwiches made to order. Please check opening times as these may vary and some days Restaurant & Bar may be closed in season.
The Restaurant and Bar will be shut between November and March.
Please note there are no parking facilities by the B&B, you are welcome to drop off your luggage if you arrive earlier. The walk from and to the car park might take anything between 5-20minutes depending on physical stamina and might be difficult for older and disabled people.
In summer check-in time is between 4pm and 6pm, in winter between 2pm and 4pm.
Breakfast is included in the price and provided between 8.30am and 9.30am. Check-out 10am.
During winter only Continental breakfast will be served to the guests in the morning.
Only during high season April till October full buffet and cooked breakfast will be available.
The closest train station is Bodmin Parkway. You will require to pre-book a taxi to get to Port Isaac.
Places of interest include Tintagel Castle is 10.2 miles away, Boscastle is 12.6 miles and Newquay Cornwall Airport is 21 miles away.

A one night stay, whilst walking 'the path'. Ideally located for this - the next day starts about 20 metres away. We were shown to our room - a nice touch. Room comfortable, and of a reasonable size. Breakfast the next day was good - although beware, portions are extremely large. We both struggled with the 'full Cornish' and wished we had opted for the 'small Cornish' instead.

Our room in The Slipway was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. The breakfast offered was the best we have experienced in our travels through Cornwall. The manager and staff were very friendly and greeted us warmly. It was like a home away from home. The location was very central to cover all of Port Isaac easily. We hope to come back one day. Highly recommended.

What a great little inn, while our room was small it had a nice view of the harbor. We only staid for 2 nights (to do the Doc Martin Tour). The food was a star along with the service. Food had great choices and to our happy suprise the Chef made many dishes Gluten free (she has Celiac). The Inn is centrally located in the village and an easy walk anywhere in the village. Even though they say you can drive in to drop off your bag, try not to the streets are narrow and difficult to turn around. It is enterntainment forthe locals to watch tourist turn around. But everyone is very nice if you must drive down. Therer are car parks within walking distance

The Slipway is in the perfect location. So close to the ocean, you can smell the beautiful sea air when you open your windows. And the hotel itself is so comfortable, spotless clean and full of character. I loved it. Steve and Donata are very kind, helpful and friendly and are ready with advice and answers to any questions. I have nothing negative to say about my experience there. The whole Port Isaac adventure was a bit of Heaven, I felt so relaxed and happy there, and staying in the Slipway really enhanced my holiday. I’d recommend it highly. Ten out of ten!

Port Isaac is a great setting for a great holiday. We wanted to experience the heart of Port Isaac right by the harbor--The Slipway B&B is the perfect place to take in the ambiance. The building is a listed period building which has rooms that have been carefully modernized. The service is great, as is the food. There are pubs, other restaurants, galleries and shops within just a few feet away. Parking is a walk up the hill a few hundred yards away--you can drive to The Slipway to drop off luggage and then park up the hill. We spent four nights at The Slipway and that was just right to get a good feel for Port Isaac--it is truly a special place. We definitely want to go back and may even stay for a full week or more. The Slipway B&B team members are very attentive and competent, which provides us with confidence that our future stays would be as enjoyable as our first.

A very warm welcome from the host, comfortable room with the perfect seaview straight out to the harbour. It was very quiet when we stayed so lacked atmosphere - I suspect would be very different in season. Nevertheless we were well looked after and had a wonderful breakfast the next morning - delicious overnight oats, cold cuts and baked goodies.

We ordered tea for four and was given one pot of tea which was expensive to start with The teapot had two teabags in for four people so I asked for a top up of hot water They had the nerve to charge me £1for hot water Absolutely ridiculous Would never go again as service was very brusque and not very friendly

Our rooms were immaculate - clean, newly decorated, tasteful soft furnishings, and very comfortable. Both with en suites, which were also spotlessly clean. The dining area was very attractive and the breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious! A tad overpriced perhaps for the time of year but nevertheless a most enjoyable weekend in beautiful Port Isaac - Lesley
