The guesthouse is really a little treasure. Very clean, everything is new and the hosts Judy and Gerald are really amazing! We can fully recommend Wagtails for a stay in Port Elizabeth (Summerstrand) no matter whether it is just for a few days or for longer.

Upon walking into Wagtails guest house we immediately felt at home. Judy and her husband were so welcoming, offering us tea, letting us check in early. Stringent Covid precautions taken, including wearing masks at all times and a sanitising foot mat. The room was absolutely perfect, a nice size, big bathroom, lovely furnishings, restocked fridge, and the best thing - an induction cooker! I have never seen this in South Africa before! The location is brilliant - less than 5 minutes to a good supermarket if you wish to cook using the great facilities. The room is serviced every day too which is not a given. Judy and her husband were able to pre-empt our needs without us even knowing what our needs were (i.e. boiling water for our jouney home for a flask) etc. They made our trip so wonderful. Thank you both, we will be back!

This is an absolute gem, a true home away from home. The rooms are gorgeous, clean & comfortable, and beautifully set up. Judy & Gerald's care they put into their attention to detail & the way they go the extra mile for you is just incredible. It's a definite must visit if you are in Port Elizabeth! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Wagtails is absolutely delightful. Everything about it was just spot on. The location in a lovely suburb gave us the peace and quiet we were looking for. Our hosts Gerald and Judy made us feel at home in every way. They are genuinely caring. Judy brought us complimentary coffee to our room every morning and Gerald even offered to take us on a tour of the city with his car! What more could you want? Best stay ever!! Thank you guys!

We had a great stay at Wagtails , Judith and Gerald are excellent hosts , very professional . The rooms are great, well equipped and kept very clean , it is a very quiet place. They have a back up generator and inverter so you do not experience the load shedding . Would recommend this place as it is very well situated in Summerstrand , close enough to the beaches but out of the noise.
