One of our best stays during our vacation, loved everything here. Good beds, very clean rooms, excellent view! In twelve minutes restaurants and shops. But here all the tranquillity and nature.

I knew when I walked into our room (themed At The Beach) that I was going to love it here. Marmalade Motel is bright, cozy, and modern. Every room has a balcony with two chairs and an oceanfront view. When I made my reservation, I ordered the Brunch Board for Two to be delivered on the first day of our stay which included coffee, orange juice, croissants, muffins, fruit, yogurt, cheese, and hard boiled eggs. Because there was a mini fridge we were able to hang on to some of this for later munchies. There is also a Keurig machine for coffee or tea at your leisure. There is a hot tub on the side of the motel - make a reservation in the guest portal for the time you prefer. I met one of the owners and she was so attentive and nice. All this plus a reasonable price and a chance to watch Corner Gas with a view of the Atlantic Ocean (we saw seals!). A plus, 5 stars, can't wait to stay here again if I get the chance.

Very pretty to look at, not entirely practical for a multi day stay, as there's no place to put any of your own stuff: - no place for clothes; no drawers or hangers - no spot for cosmetic bag or shaving kit in the bathroom - no a/c - no Do not disturb signs so housekeeping knocked at the door each morning 9am Beautiful room though, w luxurious linens, a coffee bar, small fridge (but no microwave). Wonderful peaceful water view and nice grounds, with private balcony and common area firepit and lounge area. Great for an overnight stay only but for another multi-day stay, I'd choose another place. A local booked this room on our behalf and understands why we'd not stay again.

We arrive at The Marmalade Motel via the magnificent road between Baddeck and Port Dufferin. OMG, the place is incredible. We park in front of our little house #1. There's a swing in front of the door. We open the door and discover a fresh, beautiful, clean room. Everything is cozy. And the sea view is magical. The Atlantic Ocean for a balcony. The wild side of Nova Scotia. At that time we planned to eat something and we needed a microwave to reheat the food we bring. Neil the owner brought it to us in a few minutes. We also had a delivered breakfast with delicious home made muffins. Everything is perfect. It's a little « palace » almost in the middle of nowhere. We loved it. This little motel is magical. Neil and Cheryl also have a cafe run by their daughters where we ordered soup and sandwiches for the road. The Marmalade Motel was the last stop, and the best stop, in my 7-day drive from Victoria, BC to Sheet Harbour, NS. The rooms are very clean and eloquently decorated, the waterfront views and sunset are spectacular, and the bed is cozy and warm. The best rest I have had in a week. Highly recommended!
