I want to take the whole family with me next time. The food is good. The hotel staff are friendly. The bed wasn't particularly small.

The breakfast is good. The swimming pool is suitable for children. The location of the hotel is more convenient to find by car. We checked in after dark. The parking lot is free. Many parking spaces are right in front of the check-in point. Very convenient

Four Mile Beach
We were disappointed when we first arrived at the property. It looked much nicer online, and we didn't feel it was worth the money. It's run down and needs some TLC. Our room was a 3-bedroom self-contained unit. It was spacious and neat, but the bathrooms were disgusting. I would expect bathrooms like that if I stayed at a caravan park. It needs a significant update. There is no mini-bar or lift to the second floor where we stayed. Two young girls were assigned to bring our luggage to our room, but they struggled with our heavy bags, and my husband and 17-year-old son had to help them and bring them up. The same thing happened when we checked out. The poor girl couldn't push the trolley with the luggage, and my husband ended up pushing it for her. The buffet breakfast is average. Not worth $45. The staff are all backpackers. The service could have been better. We would have tried to find a nicer hotel if we hadn't paid upfront. The only saving grace was the swimming pool. Although it also needs a revamp, it was a great pool, and the kids liked it. We wouldn't stay here again.
Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Port Douglas

Four Mile Beach
The hotel is very far away. In Douglas Town, we went to Cairns by boat for an hour. I am a Platinum Member of Marriott. Sheraton gave me a wine and it was said that the room type was upgraded. But they told me I was not a Platinum member, wasn't it funny? The hotel facilities are good, the scenery is very beautiful, the swimming pool is very large, parking is free, and there are golf courses, but the hotel is located in a tropical rain forest, there are a lot of bugs, and there are cockroaches and small flying insects everywhere in the corridor. It will be stinging, the room is still quite large, and the bathroom is also large. If the hotel can pay attention to cleanliness, the business should be better, which is not comparable to the Gold Coast Sheraton. In addition, I want to tell people who live here not to go to a Chinese restaurant called Jadeinn in Douglas. The owner ’s 10,000-percent Hong Kong independence is simply not dead. If you like to spend all day in the hotel, can recommend this

The surrounding environment is wonderful. All the facilities in the room were new and clean. It was nice to be able to check in immediately after showing the reserved copy.
Thala Beach Nature Reserve
4.6/573 Reviews
My boyfriend and I stayed at Thala for 5 nights. The location is beautiful and unique, with unparalleled views from the restaurant and bar. The complimentary Nature Walk was also a highlight (Brett was amazing). While the staff were very friendly and we enjoyed our stay overall, there were a few things that disappointed us - particularly given Thala’s expensive price tag. Firstly, we had booked dinner for our first night well in advance (2 months), requesting the best table. Thala confirmed this, and we even called a week before arriving to confirm this a second time. Unfortunately, when we turned up, the best tables had already gone, and no table had been reserved for us. This was disappointing, as we’d been really looking forward to (and saving up for) this special trip and dinner. Secondly, the jacuzzi didn’t work all week and there was not anywhere to sit in the sun by the pool (as it is surrounded by trees). While it was still beautiful to relax in these surrounds, it was not very conducive to a tan! Perhaps we would have enjoyed soaking up the sun on Oak Beach but for the onset of stinger season. Finally, the tiny mini bar menu was cleverly obscured behind a bunch of glasses and crockery. Given there was not much on offer, we assumed (wrongly) that the pringles and tonic were complimentary. This was possibly our fault too, for assuming anything! In sum, Thala is a beautiful place, but a pricey experience for what we felt we got. If breakfast was included (I paid $28 for Muesli..), and the above concerns were addressed, I would have been thrilled.
