Tropical Nites Holiday Townhouses

From start to finish this was the perfect spot for us to stay and it was lovely and quiet. Mel and Andy made sure everything was in place and offered their services for any touristy things to do and suggestions for places to dine. The unit was spotlessly clean, my only issue was with the lounge as I found it to be too soft and difficult for me to get out of, but then I’m not young and sprightly like other guests may be.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tropical Nites. We had a few nights at the Sheraton before coming here but my husband and I agreed this was the nicer stay (despite being less than half the price). He actually asked when we walked in: "I thought you said this was cheaper?" It's just a 5 minute drive into town (walking distance, but keep the heat/humidity in mind - having your own car is the best way to see the area anyway). Each apartment has a parking space with more parking available on the street. The apartments have everything you could need - cooking utensils, a few sachets for the laundry and dishwasher, even some candles in case of a blackout. The only thing I found odd is that there was no soap. We purchased our own from the Coles in town. The pool looks small until you get in and find it is long enough to do some laps. There is also an adjoining barbecue area, surrounded by tropical plants which give you the feeling of being secluded. Modern and renovated bathroom with a fan. Thoughtful inclusion having a power board on both sides of the bed. And there's a clothes horse if you do some washing. (If you're in wet season, don't put it outside. Our clothes simply didn't dry with the humidity). The hosts are lovely and responsive. We had an issue with our air conditioner when we arrived (it had just been serviced but appliances can be fickle). The owner offered us an immediate solution by unlocking the downstairs bedroom which had its own aircon and kept the kitchen/lounge/dining cool. It was serviced properly the next day when we were out snorkelling. For context: the townhouses have rooms locked off depending on what you book. We booked a 1 bedroom, so 2 bedrooms were locked. Highly recommend and would be happy to return again.

We had a wonderful 7 night stay. The apartment has everything you need for your stay. It is spacious, clean and well appointed. The property manager was lovely and very helpful. She booked all our tours for the week and was more than happy to change around some tour dates due to forecast thunderstorms on our last day. Thank you Mel 😊

We had a fabulous stay. The accommodation had plenty of room for 7 guests. The accommodation and property was beautiful and clean. The property is located in a quiet and secure area, unlike some of your bigger resorts, tropical nights is only a short 2 min drive into the township of Port Douglas. The property had a beautiful pool and nice, big BBQ area. Access to 4 mile beach is super close as well. Andy and Mel were very helpful and made our stay a pleasure. We will definitely return.

Roomy, Welcoming, Close to everything We spent a week at Tropical Nites hence why we chose a place with extra room. The townhouse we stayed in was excellent. Big main bedroom with a relaxing balcony overlooking the pool and garden. The second bedroom we didn’t necessary need but we used it to store our luggage and clothes, giving us more room in the main areas. The couches were very comfy and the kitchen had pretty much everything we needed. Andy and Mel were great hosts. They were available or not too far away when we needed them, and they were great socially too. They are the kind of people you would want as friends. We thought the pool area was a bit cramped, especially when there’s a few families. We felt that the area could be extended through the grassy section - hint hint. Despite this, the pool itself was welcoming as was the BBQ area. Also, it was a comfy walking distance to town and the harbour. We visit Port Douglas often so I’m sure we will be back. Adult kids in tow next time.
