Anita Apartments

we stayed in the first floor apartment in the Anita complex. The apartment was spacious, three bedrooms, two very well appointed bathrooms. Air conditioning in each room, great kitchen and utilities, dishwasher, washing machine etc. A wonderful view from a very spacious terrace directly overlooking the beach. A very diligent cleaner who did a great job changing linen, mopping and cleaning and getting it all ship shape again. A few problems though. There are a few ‘floating shelves’, barley hanging on the walls at toddler height and knee height. But letting down everything is the incessant noise coming from the Brisas restaurant below and to one side of our apartment. This restaurant turns on a sound system as soon as they begin work and it goes on until closing time. Its a loop of soul destroying ‘beats’ that throbs, buzzes, pounds all day long coming through into the first floor apartment. It is especially noticeable in the bedrooms and bathrooms and very noticeable coming through the extraction ducting. The noise is not so intrusive in the restaurant but does become horrible as it travels through the celing and the adjacent cavity walls. After a few days it became very oppressive. Although we holidayed there to enjoy the island and Porte Pollenca there are of course times when you need to actually use the apartment, for eating, socialising, nursing tired toddlers etc and I dreaded having to go back to it after getting away from this noise. All in all a very good apartment ruined by this purposeless constant noise.

We've just returned from staying in Anita3. The 3 bedroom apartment was huge and had everything we could possibly need - a microwave, washing machine and even an electric citrus Juicer. The family bathroom is a little dated, but the en suite bathroom was fabulous, so we all used that. There were loads of towels and the bed linen was immaculate. The apartment is on the beach front, with amazing views out across the bay. In February, we enjoyed sitting out on the balcony eating breakfast. It was an ideal time for us to go, pleasently sunny, but not too busy. There were still lots of cafes and restaurants open to choose from and a couple of little supermarkets within easy walking distance. The street behind the apartment was being resurfaced when we went, which meant we had to park a little further along at the marina, but the parking was free. We hope to return soon to visit family who live in Mallorca.
