Hoposa Daina- Adults Only

The hotel is getting tired. We have stayed in lots of hotels in the area over the past 10 years. First time here. Pool toilet facilities are disgusting, stink and are completely unhygienic, need a refurb! The room was overdue a touch up. We asked for room servicing every day. The same gross hair was in the same spot in the toilet all holiday. So, I think they make your bed, replace towels if you want that and leave. I’ve seen better cleaning at much cheaper (and nicer) hotels. They force you to give a room number at the pool bar by refusing to allow you to may on card even though they have card machines there for you to use on your last day when you don’t have a room or in the evening bar. I wasn’t comfortable with it because I didn’t know how they were checking if you were who they say you were. Anyway, my partner would use it occasionally for the odd beer. Over the first 5 days we racked up a €38 bill. Then over our remaining 2 and a half days, somehow spent over €50 which they told us whilst we were checking out. We were shocked and asked to see the receipts. The reception staff became very defensive. My partner pointed out that he had signed for some of them (but not all) to which the receptionist said ‘they don’t do that at the pool bar’ as if he was lying, but you could see on the receipts he had! No apology given. Turns out someone had been ordering several Whiskey sours and cokes on our room (which we don’t drink) and another round of beers within 30mins of us ordering ours which was unrealistic for how we were hardly using the pool bar. We told the staff this and they said ‘well we don’t know that’. We ended up paying for the drinks that were ours and refusing the ones that weren’t with no apology or acceptance of error from the staff. I dread to think how much could be wracked up as a bill on other people’s room tabs that they don’t even notice because they were using the pool bar much more regularly then we were. So, instead of being helpful were implying we were lying. VERY disappointing end to an average hotel experience. For the money this hotel is absolutely not worth it.

Reception polite and friendly, room side view the shower leaked , tv no english channels that worked ! Breakfast ok but some fruit was gone past it date , coffee not worth time it took to get it !! Fantastic swimming pool but if you don’t get your towel out it time you would be lucky to get space even though the policy they say is to remove towels left for over certain time !! you could walk in of the street no checks as they say you should present your room card nooo !

Had room on top floor. Had hot tub and lovely balcony. Room itself was very small and balcony was larger than the room. Was no space to put anything and no chair in room as it wouldn’t have fitted. Nice balcony but disappointing room. Hardly any space to walk around bed!

Hotel is lovely and breakfast fantastic. Great location and rooms cleaned to a very good standard. Areas of improvement would be better towels in rooms and by pool along with better sunbeds. Most staff were excellent but there were a few bar staff members who would avoid eye contact if at all possible and certainly lacked good customer service skills !

We have visited Port Polensa for over 20 years, this was our first stay in hotel daina.As soon as we arrived the reception staff made us very welcome,explaining everything we needed to know. The room was of good size with excellent air conditioning, it was made up everyday to a high standard. The breakfast process was excellent with a good a varied selection to meet our needs, the staff were attentive and hard working but never intrusive,the breakfast experience was calm and relaxing. When having drinks every member of staff worked hard,attentive and professional. All staff were friendly and made us feel relaxed. Top class hotel and service, very happy to recommend, we shall be returning next year.Thank you everyone at Hotel Daina.
