Hôtel familial, très bien situé, propre et à l’ambiance locale. On déplore juste l’absence de climatisation en période de canicule mais à part ça rien a redire

A basic hostel. 3/5.
The room was quite tidy. There were hairs in the shared wc+shower, otherwise quite tidy. The beds were ok (springmadrass), the beddings were quite sheer and had quite strong smell (due to washing powder?). The walls let through all noises from outside and other rooms. The room&house had a stale smell.
The receptionists spoke rather good english.
The breakfast included 2 toasts, croissant and warm drink.

Hostal Juventus is an accommodation located in the centre of Portbou, the last town before the border with France in Costa Brava Region. The rate quality/price is good (it is cheap). It is a pragmatic accommodation in the centre of the town. The room had coffee and tea to breakfast. The shared bathroom was very clean. The staff, in the bar, was very friendly. If we come Portbou again, we will come here. The last two days I was alone and they kept me in the same double room as the first day. On the other hand, the room was a bit austere. The bed was uncomfortable, too hard. There is not lift.

Very good value for money On the other hand, it is not for non-Catalan people. We were served last, which is common in Porbou!!!! It's a shame to lack so much respect. My husband has been coming since he was a child but porbou doesn't seem to like tourists.
