Another amazing stay at this iconic classic. Each time we return, our expectations are exceeded. Steeped in dare I say, colonial tradition, The Trident epitomizes white glove, top class service. We came for much needed restoration and found it in our beautiful villa, private pool and pristine beach. Every meal was delicious and presented beautifully, but what really defines the experience is the world class service. Just can’t say enough about the staff. Shevane and Dava are extraordinary, as is every other member of staff we encountered. Even the groundskeeper who went out of his way to climb and harvest fresh coconut water for us. This level of service doesn’t happen by accident or mandate. Every extra effort is made with a smile and genuine desire to create memorable experiences. Thanks to our personal lifeguard, who also happily filled in wherever possible to elevate our enjoyment. We requested dinner by the pool because it was such a beautiful full moon evening. Dava and his team mobilized to bring café lights, table chairs, and even torches creating the most beautiful ambience. Dinner as always, was amazing. Spicy chicken soup, garden salad and curried fresh red snapper. All of this followed by sweet potato pudding with vanilla ice cream that was to die for. A Cuban cigar and 12 year Appleton rum topped everything off perfectly. The only thing I would change is the length of my stay. As always, too short. Pr

If you’re looking for the luxury and relaxation of a top-tier resort without the crowds, Trident is the perfect escape. With just 12 modern, impeccably clean villas—each featuring its own private pool—you’ll enjoy a level of privacy and tranquility that’s hard to find elsewhere. Trident also boasts a stunning private sandy beach reserved exclusively for guests. Unlike some boutique hotels that allow outside visitors for a fee, Trident keeps the experience intimate and exclusive. Although the on-site supper club was temporarily closed during our visit due to recent hurricane damage, the chef continued to offer a full menu via room service—and we took full advantage. Every dish we tried was outstanding. The complimentary daily breakfast was another highlight: fresh coffee or tea, juice, a fruit plate, and a selection of delicious options, including traditional Jamaican breakfast with ackee and saltfish (a must-try), omelets, pancakes, and more. The property itself is beautifully maintained, but what truly sets Trident apart is the exceptional staff. Every team member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our stay unforgettable. One evening, we hadn’t ordered dinner and it was getting late—the staff noticed the lights were still on in our villa and called to ensure we didn’t miss the chef before he signed off. That level of attention to detail was consistent throughout our stay. Since we stayed for nine days, Trident arranged round-trip airport transfers from Montego Bay. The driver came prepared with snacks and a cooler full of drinks, making the journey comfortable and enjoyable. Upon arrival, we were greeted with chilled washcloths and welcome drinks—a thoughtful touch that set the tone for our entire stay. Trident also offers curated excursions, a full-service spa, and a peaceful atmosphere that made us feel truly special. Every detail, big and small, was handled with care. We can’t recommend it enough. ~ Sue Ellen & James Holmes

My villa and the private pool were beautiful, quiet and made me feel like relaxing. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Staff were so attentive and pleasant. I walked over to the castle and enjoyed the nature walk and view. My entire stay was a great experience.

This location is beautiful on what looks like an ancient volcanic outcropping with waves pounding against the cliff all day and night. Every Villa is positioned along the cliff face facing the ocean. All night, you listen to the waves, and there is a very calm private beach with canoes and paddle boats. The hotel is not brand new, but the rooms are nice and comfortable, and the amenities and the health club are up to date. There is a lovely restaurant with a pool table and a screening room if you want to wait out a rain storm. We had nice massages at the spa, but it is a small hotel, very intimate, very quiet and with very few guests. Do not expect a big party atmosphere. I strongly recommend going on a rafting trip for at least one day. The restaurant is very nice, and regarding the area, you will be most pleased, culinarily speaking if you are open to eating local food. One of the major benefits of staying here is the excellent staff expertly Guided by the general manager Dwight. Everyone was so kind and helpful throughout our stay and during our booking. The office staff were very accommodating working out our room over the phone, and when our transfer from the airport broke down they made heroic efforts to make sure we were taken care of. akeem at the beach and Fiona at the restaurant where both lovely, gracious considerate and kind with my children. I forgot his name, but there's a nice man who will cut coconuts down for freshness coconut water whenever you ask. The most confusing thing about this hotel is how it is listed by TripAdvisor. So I'm going to break it down for you right now. The hotel is a small luxury hotel of the which is now part of the Hilton Hotel benefits program. As a Hilton Diamond member the Trident provided me all the Hilton benefits I would expect. the guests stay in private Villas along the cliff. Trident Castle is a beautiful older structure on the property that is used for events, very cool, but it will feel like a tropical version of The Overlook when it is not being used, as a Kubrick fan this was a benefit for me, and made for a great photo shoot. The Veranda is a restaurant at the hotel and it was the only open restaurant while we were there, but the chefs will cook you whatever you are in the mood for if they have the ingredients.. Local food is on the more casual side, but the staff can advise you on where to go. Hope that's helpful!

Trident customer service staff is awesome; I always feel that they are attuned to my needs which is a great feeling. Bottom line, the ambiance, management, makes you feel like you are in a special place. In addition, the grounds are well maintained which amplifies the feeling of tranquility.

Firstly, wonderful, friendly staff. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds with its own mini private beach. However, the wonderful French Man's Cove is a short car journey and worth the visit. The rooms @ the Trident are extremely comfortable, clean, and aesthetically pleasing, simple cool luxury, without being ostentatious. There's a well stocked mini bar - spirits/wines/soft drinks, with complimentary teas/coffee & water Dinner last night was possibly the best oxtail, rice and peas I've ever had. Will definitely revisit when next in Port Antonio.

Small, boutique hotel, private, elegant, understated luxury. The staff caters to all your needs and leaves you to privacy. Outstanding location. Breathtaking... -Kirk was a fantastic driver. Rooms: Modern, chic , beautiful. 1 of the 2 bathrooms had a bidet. Both bedrooms had beautiful ensuite bathrooms with rain showers. Each bedroom and the living room open through french doors to the patio. Each shower leads to an outdoor stone tub. There is Wifi everywhere on property including the beach. Food and drinks: can be had at the open air Verandah, the bar, dine in your villa on your patio as the waves crash against the rocks. Sonia's kitchen is curated dining: we created our own menu. Mike's supper club Fri, Saturday nights has live music. Enjoy food around the town: Soldier camp food was soooo good. The owner- Everold was wonderful. Drinks were plentiful: alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Activities : 1. Private beach: super calm, beautiful. The lifeguard brings you towels and water on arrival. 2. Frenchman's cove is a short drive like 5-6 mins. 2000jmd per person tho. We think because the former superstar beach San San is now very polluted. 3. Rafting from Sanco bay: No more rafting from Blue Lagoon 4. Blue Lagoon: Swim if you dare, snorkel, kayak, paddleboard to Monkey Island. 5. Boat around Somerset falls 6. Hike to Nanny falls. Not I, but I'm told beautiful.

Just amazing! Every moment was fantastic. Special mention to Delva our server and to Ackeem the lifeguard. Honestly, all the staff were amazing and helpful. The food was great and so was the Housekeeping team. Thanks for making my visit memorable. I hope to be able to visit again.
