Great vibe and quirky rooms, we really enjoyed staying at The Canford. It was a flying visit as we had tickets to see something at Poole Lighthouse and would've liked to have stayed longer. Really friendly and accommodating staff, food was lovely too!

Really enjoyed our stay here. Lovely fresh newly refurbished double room; comfortable bed; slept like a log. Hotel has a lovely pub and garden. Nice warm welcome from staff. Perfect place to stay if you want a long walk on the beach which is just a minute down the hill. Stay at the Canfield: have a lovely pizza dinner at Banfi in the village; go for a nice long walk on the beach; long drink in the Canford pub garden. You're not going to do better than this in southern England in 2024.

Very warm welcome, very comfortable room which was nicely decorated with great attention to detail, good food (dinner and breakfast). The team who looked after us were excellent. Highly recommended and just a short walk from a beautiful beach.

Great service all the staff are really helpful, lovely room the room is always full of amenities, really good food. If your going and trying the new revised menu make sure you have the squid its delicious, great selections of beers and wine. Excellent breakfast the place has become like a second home after visiting every month this year. Canford is my go to place for business travel in Dorset and Bournemouth area.

We were here as a wedding party. Fantastic rooms, very spacious and comfortable. The food was great. Staff were amazing, so kind and happy. Location is perfect for walks on the beach. Close to Poole and Bournemouth, also the ferry over to the Purbecks.

We had a lovely one night's stay at The Canford. Our room was clean, very well equipped, and it had a relaxed, homely feel. The bed was comfortable, and the bedding (pillows and duvet) were so good that we purchased the same brand upon arriving home. The car park is fairly small, but we had no trouble parking for our mid-afternoon check-in and upon our return at 10pm after our evening out seeing a show at the BIC (the hotel is well situated for this being only 10 minutes away). The breakfast was impressive and made with high-quality ingredients, served in their conservatory, which was pleasantly warm despite autumn temperatures. The hotel staff were friendly and attentive, particularly the waitress who served us dinner and the lady who prepared our room. Recommended.

One of the best hotels in the area. We had an accessible room on the ground floor with a wet room definitely worth what we paid. The best experience part of our stay was the guy that checked us in and his professional attitude to his job definitely a 10 out of 10 from us Would like to add what a really pleasant bar they have in the hotel would definitely stay again

We have stayed here before a couple of times and it’s great to see that standards haven’t slipped. It was our 30th wedding anniversary and on arriving to our room there was a lovely bottle of bubbles waiting. Service is brilliant and everyone is so friendly. Very popular venue with a vibrant atmosphere in the evenings. The garden is excellent with lots of covered seating. Sandbanks is a short taxi ride away or a good stroll and Poole harbour is a £15 taxi trip away. It’s not a cheap place but worth the money in our opinion and in a stunning location.

Excellent! The pillows and duvet and bed so comfortable! The staff were excellent! The food was excellent too ! Didn’t want to leave ! Thankyou It’s just a beautiful place to stay and so comfortable in every way. Highly recommend. Nothing is too much for the staff.

Pleasant hotel. Rooms are nicely decorated although a bit on the small side. Meals were nicely cooked and the service was speedy and friendly. Probably will go back again. There was always space in the car park. A negative point was leaf blowing just outside the restaurant where we were having breakfast.

From super smooth check in for our three rooms to the wonderfully appointed, attention to detail and superb room cleaning service and excellent staff all round, we could not have chosen a better place to stay in the area. Amazing staff, assistance for everything we needed on fans whenever we needed it. This establishment is managed very well indeed and I would heartily recommend a stay here. We did not need to use the restaurant in the evenings but the breakfast service, food selection and relaxed atmosphere was all we could have wanted. Well done indeed to all at The Canford. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

We stayed here at the end of August for our daughter's wedding at Compton Acres. We booked a suite for ourselves, which was large and perfect for our daughter to get prepared (hairdresser, photographer etc). Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, the facilities were good, and the breakfasts were excellent. We also arranged a drinks reception using one of their (large) Tiki Huts. Our pre-ordered drinks were all there and we were well looked after. Everyone enjoyed it. The only problem we had was that the key cards failed a few times. This was quickly resolved but annoying. The hotel is a short, but steep, walk from the beach. If you head in the Branksome direction along the prom, there is a good restaurant/cafe. Sandbanks beach is a bit more of a trek. The Canford describes itself as a pub with rooms, which, strictly speaking, it is, but it is certainly a cut above what you might expect from that description due to the attentive and helpful staff. Happy to recommend

This is a pub with rooms and, as such, was exactly in line with our expectations. It was a great place to stay before and after our trip to the Channel Islands. They supplied us with a take away breakfast for our early run for the ferry. The decor of the rooms was quirky but modern. The restaurant was as you would expect for a ‘gourmet’ pub. We were there on nights that England were playing in the Euros with superb weather and the bar and gardens were heaving. As someone who followed the Euros the atmosphere was great but as it was busy the service was understandably slowish but that didn’t bother us too much. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful little Hotel room was spacious & spotlessley clean we had the disabled room on the ground floor which was great access out to the car park and perfectly positioned for the beach walks and restaurants a friend of ours who lives locally recommended and we wasn’t disappointed Very friendly too and the staff were a great team
