Great location for what we needed, staff were friendly and helpful, beds were comfortable and shower was good. It's a shame there was a very strong damp/mould smell in the bathroom, we needed to keep the door shut because of this, however there were no visible signs of mould. The booking made was for a twin room and we realised on arrival only the double was made up, the staff came to make up the single bed straight away when we let them know. The train tracks were behind the hotel, but this didn't interrupt our sleep. We made use of the meal deals at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner - there was a good selection of meals at reasonable price, service in the restaurant was great, food was great.

Accessible facilities need attention. From the car park, through to the actual room. Car park - road markings and parking spaces hardly visible. Automatic door as you enter hotel is great, but we then had to get through two heavy doors with a manual wheelchair, which was difficult. Sliding bathroom door didn't slide...there is no way my mum would have managed in the room alone. I struggled to open/close it for her. No grab rails in the bedroom. We ate at the restaurant next door and headed to our room around 9pm...no lights outside restaurant which made the short trip to the hotel difficult. Couldn't see curbs and where to direct mum's wheelchair.

Had an operation in the Grange back in December and notice the Premier Inn is only a few minute's drive away. I requested a quiet room as i had to stay near the hospital that night encase of an emergency post Op as i do not live in the area. After booking Amy swiftly replied to my email request for a quiet room. Upon arrival i was greeted by another 2 members of staff who offered to carry my bags upstairs seeing i was in pain. Amy stuck to her word and put me in a very quiet room (29). Amy is an asset to the company, actually all the staff including the cleaner the following morning were all polite and very helpful.

Warm, quiet and comfortable rooms. Ideal location for our family visit. Quality breakfast at the adjacent pub. Plenty of parking with cctv coverage for extra piece of mind. Very accomplished staff who are very helpful, chatty and efficient

The room we had on the second floor was cool on arrival and it stayed cool during our stay. The receptionist did say if we had told them earlier they could have sourced a heater for us. Which might have been ok, but as we wouldn't have left it on during the day, we would have still had the same problem and it wouldn't have heated the bathroom, as our towels never got fully dry. The corridor was also cool, unlike the ground floor and reception which was lovely and warm. The room was clean, but very dull, which is a common complaint with hotels. As there were two of us, only one bath and hand towel was in the room. The receptionist did get us another set. The car park needs to have the disable bays repainted as they are very faint and near impossible to see in the dark. It wasn't helped that the disable bay area was covered in mud, not what you want getting out of the car and having to navigate the mud. Breakfast at the Ashbridge was ok, but it can get busy as the cereals, bread and toasters are in the same area, so if people are queuing for toast, then you cannot get to the cereals easily. Christmas morning breakfast for the hotel guest was available, but only until 9am, due to getting ready to serve dinner. Staff were lovely and cannot comment on the cooked breakfast as we stuck with the continental. This hotel is fine if you just want a room and the staff friendly and helpful. The reason for three stars was the cool room and muddy, unpainted disable car park area.

I can’t fault the staff or the comfort of the hotel. I slept brilliantly in a lovely comfy bed. However the down side was the food in the pub ! The breakfast was cold. With a helping of heartburn after. The dinner we had was burnt and rock hard burgers with a cheap coleslaw !

Lovely clean hotel and close to a town centre. The restaurant served a good breakfast with great customer service. Amy on reception was superb so friendly and professional she made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond when we needed an extra bed set up ( I booked it wrong) she was back within minutes and the beds were immaculate. Will definitely return to this hotel
