Charming old fashion hotel, room had basic decor with coffee and tea provided.
Good windows that completely block the noise from the traffic.
Dinner was all right, but could do better breakfast.

The only nice hotel we found in the surroundings of the Puy de Dome!👍we were surprised of the charming Hotel de la Poste in Pontgibaud!

We had a one night stop over at this hotel and were very happy with our choice. Under new ownership for seven months, we found the proprietor and young staff delightful and very eager to assist. What was even more delightful was our evening meal. Served in the clean, contemporary restaurant, the food was of a surprising and delicious standard…all credit to their talented lady chef. The food was hot, very nicely presented and agreeable on the palate. Many other diners clearly had discovered this place! Superb

Excellent rapport qualité/prix. Petit hôtel familial idéalement situé au cœur de la chaîne des Puys, à 20 mn. de Clermont-Ferrand (dans une petite commune qui offre aux voyageurs de nombreux services, tels qu'un parking gratuit, une station essence, un supermarché à taille humaine et un marché local le jeudi matin). Propreté impeccable. Accueil chaleureux. Cuisine traditionnelle, gastronomique et exquise (la cheffe force l'admiration et mérite toute notre gratitude). Petit-déjeuner tout à fait honorable pour ce type d'établissement. (Seul petit bémol : la connexion au Wi-Fi n'est pas systématiquement assurée dans les chambres, a fortiori par mauvais temps, ce dont la direction a pleinement conscience et qu'elle déplore). Un établissement pittoresque, très "terroir", très "made in France", "dans son jus". Pas étonnant que nous y rencontrions toutes sortes de nationalités ! Pas étonnant que nous songions déjà à y revenir !
